Yeah, you're right Vanessa is a grown woman who can make her own decisions and date who she wants, but who she wants to date is a dangerous criminal who has even more dangerous enemies. If I was there, I would just tell Deanna to cut her mother out of her life. This is an insurmountable obstacle to me. Sorry, but I can't believe everyone around her is telling Deanna to chill out and begin to accept this.

Hello, this is my first post on the subreddit! Beyond the Gates is the first soap opera I've watched since I was a little girl, so I'm excited to read and talk with everyone here.

I've seen talk about how they think Hayley's actress is too talented to simply write off and throw her jail at the end of the story line, but Bill is such a charismatic character, I find it hard to believe he'll actually die and be written off instead. What do you guys think will be done with the story?

Personally, if it is a secret third option, the only thing I can think of is perhaps Bill will do something charming for Hayley that will make her really fall for him! Like Hayley is so selfish and hardened and concerned with herself that maybe a genuinely selfless act from Bill will make her change her opinion on him. Maybe she really gets mugged, and he takes a bullet for her or something. I don't know! I'm just thinking about what would be dramatic! <3

I'm also pretty invested in the Izaiah/Eva/Thomas/Kat love square thing they're building up to. I was a pretty big fan of Eva/Thomas in the first season. I didn't want them to CHEAT, of course, but I thought they had more chemistry together. There's been a lot of discussion about Kat/Izaiah, but I think today's episode is the first time Izaiah has been given a hint of interest as opposed to Kat showing all the interest. It was a little suspicious how he seemed so concerned with how Kat would react to the Tokyo Show cancellation and not really seem invested in how Chelsea was feeling, when Chelsea was literally the person he was talking to. Thomas also seems more and more nostalgic for his friendship with Eva, and Kat seems more and more disinterested with Thomas so that's definitely going to lead to something.

I know people are kinda tired of the cheating stories, so what do you think will happen to the love square? Do you think Izaiah and Kat will cheat together? If so, do you think Thomas will forgive Kat like she forgave him, or do you think he'll be a hypocrite and break up with her? Alternatively, maybe Kat will break up with Thomas, because she realizes after being with Izaiah that she is totally over Thomas by that point. Kat and Thomas could just break up first, and then Kat cheats with Izaiah. So maybe both couples will break up, and the other two pairs get together. Though Eva seems REALLY into Izaiah at this point. She's the one person in the love square who seems firmly invested in her current partner.

I think if Kat does break up with Thomas, and he tries to run to Eva, she's definitely going to see that as a "2nd place" sort of rebound thing. Like he couldn't get with the Dupree, so now he's going to settle for her. I'd be interested in seeing how the two would navigate a dynamic like that, seeing as how he passed up on her the first time around, but now seems to maybe regret that decision.

Like I said, this is the first Soap Opera I've kept up with day to day since I was in middle school! It has been fun. I'm excited to see what others think! God bless and thanks for reading my rambling thoughts. :D
