Tomas — possible neurodivergence?

I know a lot of viewers and commentators complain about the actor that plays Tomas being emotionless and robotic. Many do not like him because of it. Others do not like his hyperfixation on his job above personal relationships or his inability to read the room or moments. Some complain about his lack of reaction things that they believe you should be more emotional.

Do any of you consider the possibility of the signs of neurodivergence? There are many neurological diversities beyond and including impossible placement on the autism spectrum if the writers chose to go in that direction, there are a few things that they would have to make adjustments to or dive into but what do you all think?

Unpopular Opinion: The Tornado Crossover was a failed stunt

I have to say the Tornado YR Crossover while it brought some eyeballs to BTG it was a special effects stunt without substance of story. The production was good but it missed the mark on the aftermath of it how it shook the cast up or made any big strides storyline related. I would much rather see long term storyline that has big reveals and big climaxes. People rave its BTG emmy episode but I watched GH on Thursday snd it had everything in the action and drama department. I feel while it boosted ratings for 1 week it was kind of a failed stunt. Anyone else agree ?

Rewatching on Tubi

I started rewatching BTG on Tubi since the 1st season is up on there now, and in the 2nd episode Anita tells Dani, "The truth is, two expert liars came together [referring to Bill and Hayley] and fooled us all. As a family, we let our guard down. But that is never gonna happen again. So fair warning. Be mindful of who you try to bring into our circle." Ooh, the foreshadowing... And see now, Anita should've had this conversation with Nicole, too. Also, Kat wasn't there to hear it, but she's the only one in the family who took this seriously lol

Since we had a week of reruns and now a new streaming source, have y'all been rewatching? What stood out to you?

Why Tamara Tunie and Beyond the Gates could win big at Daytime Emmys

This article popped up as a Google notification for me. I thought the rationale behind the daytime talent manager's opinions was interesting. My eyebrows only raised when he suggested Ambyr [Eva] & Marquita [Hailey] as BTG's submissions for Best Emerging Talent and not include Colby [Kat] as well.

Any of you Redditors here worried if Josh Griffith potentially jump ship and become Co-Writer of this Soap after stepping down as Head-Writer of Y&R.

Josh Griffith did announced his departure to the cast and crew, he will still continue to outline and write the storylines in Genoa City until a successor is officially named and put into place.

Soap News company Soap Central will no longer cover Beyond the Gates

I don’t know where the announcement came from, but I heard many people on Twitter talk about it.

Out of the 5 remaining Soap Operas that still exist, Soap Central will no longer be focusing on Beyond the Gates, the only Black-led Soap, and that it will shift its content to Pop Culture media as seen in the screenshot above where they talk about Taylor Swift and her fiancé upcoming wedding.

Yes, a white woman celebrity who goes on private jets and shuts down certain streets for a wedding, while acting progressive, matters more to this SOAP company than a Black SOAP OPERA. 🤦🏼‍♂️

This is just bad news for BTG and soaps overall.

It’s turning into Celebrity Laundry, a separate soap based company, that turned into a celebrity gossip website within the 2010s.

Ted and Kat

Rewatching some episodes And another thing… Ted you will burn in hell. If Kat didn’t donate to his demon seed you wouldn’t forgive her just like how he pushed her away in the name of getting to know Eva… he’s a horrible father and all tea all shade I wouldn’t ever speak to his trifling ass ever again… and don’t even get me started on Martin trifling ass like father like son I guess… Kat was a selfish bitch and a princess until she did what you wanted huh… I know what you are… moving on to Isiah criminal ass… in kahoots with Joey that nobody knows about except deliver us from Eva but wanna take about some “you’re doing this for revenge” oh I would’ve showed his ass what revenge really looked like not to mention the fact that he just ignored the evil shit Eva did with and without her homicidal mother. Glossed over the fact that Eva dirty ass slept with Tomas without remorse, deliberately chose to hurt innocent Nicole that did nothing to her and covered up for her murderous mother… they can try to give Leslie some redemption… I’m not moved
