Having Leslie obsessed with the Duprees for no reason is tired. Her beef should end at Ted and Bill.

There should've been something to make Leslie actually hate this family. Barbara not wanting her isn't Anita's fault. Ted not wanting her isn't Nicole's fault. Not to mention, she now has endless pockets because of Anita. Girl what else do you want?

You know what would've been soapy......

Nicole had fertility issues. Ted had an affair with Leslie, but instead of paying Leslie to abort and leave town, he has her kidnapped and gives her baby to Nicole. Nicole unknowingly adopts Ted's affair baby, and raises the baby as her own. Ted and Bill have had Leslie locked up in a asylum all these years, but she breaks out ready for revenge. Leslie's beef could've been the Duprees not giving her access to her daughter even after finding out the truth.

Or if you really want to get soapy...... Have Nicole find out about the affair and have her be the one to lock Leslie up and steal her baby.

Bonus points: Anita could've always knew about Leslie being Barbara's daughter and took her in as a niece. Leslie pulls a cousin Faith and sleeps with Ted. Anita chooses her real family over Leslie and has her locked up in the loonie bin, and they raise Katherine Evangeline as a Dupree.

What was the point of having those dumb flashbacks of Bill teaching Chelsea how to fight?

She got punked by Allison. Now Haley.

They could've used that screentime for something else.

Unpopular opinion: Kat wasn't wrong to be upset about Chelsea's live, and Eva is emotionally manipulative.

I stopped watching weeks ago, but I watch clips from time to time, so if you feel my opinion is too uniformed to be relevant please stop here.

I thought the idea of Chelsea doing this PSA livestream to be weird in the first place. Kat said no, but said feel free to reach out to Eva. Fine.

However, The "Renee" portion was unnecessary. Kat said leave her out of it. They used an alias, but all of Fairmont Crest knows who "Renee" is.

Eva didn't have to pull out the little Orphan Eva routine and talk about her and "Renee" not getting along, and this situation being her shot to fix that. Kat already said they could be cordial, but THAT'S IT. Then you have Eva crying about the "people she hoped would love her" and Chelsea immediately comforting her knowing she's talking about Kat. Not comforting Eva because of the actual topic at hand, but because Kat didn't/doesn't embrace her, which set Kat off.

Kat gets dragged for expecting people not to like Eva and not letting it go. Eva should be dragged for always complaining about Kat not liking her and not letting it go. Eva has NEVER stopped the Kat doesn't like me pity party. Even post surgery, she actually seems to be complaining more since she thought this would be what mended her and Kat's relationship, but it didn't.

Kat didn't want to be involved. She wants to forget the entire situation and move on. Now Samantha again wants Kat to keep an open mind about Eva, Chelsea "sees Eva in a new light", we already know how Ted, Martin, Nicole, etc will feel, and they'll definitely bring it up after this live.

Eva admitted to gaslighting Kat and being manipulative to make her look bad, which she ultimately did again with this live which garnered sympathy from Chelsea. Whether you think it's intentional or not, It's the same song and dance as before.

They BOTH should move on and let it go. How can Kat ever really move on if Eva's constant pity parties are always the catalyst for "give Eva a chance", "she's your sister", etc. Just as Kat shouldn't make not liking Eva everyone else's problem. Eva shouldn't make Kat not liking her everyone else's problem.

I do disagree with the way Kat blew up. She should've definitely kept her cool infront of Samantha, but the show is set on Eva being a perpetual victim and Kat being irrational even when her feelings are valid.

I'm prepared to be downvoted and dragged.

Another Post on Today's Episode

It made absolutely no sense. If there's any reason to sympathize with Eva it's because she had/has Leslie as a mother.

Why not have them actually switch places in the dream? Dream Kat could've popped up in Eva's current apartment at the beginning of Leslie's scheme. She could've witnessed Leslie telling Kat what to search for in Nicole's office, that Ted never wanted her and Nicole knew about it, etc.

She could've witnessed Kat having a change of heart but still being pressured by Leslie, Kat being put out with a trash bag, Kat being told to fight for Tomas then being rejected by him, etc. Then it could've ended with Eva telling Kat she wished she was never born at Uptown.

It may have taken two episodes, but this way the writers wouldn't have had to write new material, which apparently isn't there strong point. They could've used the same sets, dialogue, wardrobe, and it would've actually made sense.

They made it harder than it needed to be while being misogynistic af. Apparently not having Ted Richardson is enough to make a woman lose their mind, seriously? Also, not having the dream characters change clothes was confusing and ridiculous.

Nicole

Nicole really shocked me and acted like a real psychiatrist and mother today. The way everyone swarmed Kat after she got off the elevator was crazy.

If I was her, I would've gotten tested and took Kat's place if I was a match and physically able. I'm not judging her character for not doing that. The writer's write what they write for a reason (sometimes), but I feel like getting tested would be in Nicole's nature, especially after seeing how hard Kat was struggling with this. I definitely don't think she would let Martin do it after his concussion if he was a match.

I know it doesn't make sense, but I wouldn't want my child to risk their life for her dad's side baby that she hates, but I would do it.

Not saying I WANT more Tomas screentime, but does anyone else remember the phone call he made to a mystery person awhile back? They just dropped it.

He was at Uptown going through his address book being a social climber per usual, then he called someone he actually seemed interested in and told them he wanted to set up lunch/dinner for them to meet Kat.

I remember wanting it to be his replacement.

To those of you who feel so strongly about Kat being selfish, would you actually give your half sibling who you hate and have only known a year a piece of your liver? Or do you just hate Kat's character? I'm genuinely curious. This is a safe space.

If you just hate Kat's character and would be annoyed no matter what she does, that's valid. Tomas and Leslie could save a school bus full of puppies and children, and I'd still hate them, so I get it.

I like Kat. The only thing I didn't like is her staying at the hospital so long. She should've left after Martin snapped on her knowing she doesn't want to donate. Her being there just adds stress to the situation.

If I was Kat, It would be really hard for me to donate, honestly. A bitch I hate having a piece of me? The way Leslie, Martin, and Izaiah have treated her recently would make me double down on a strong no. However I felt for Ted today, if I did it, it would only be for him, and quite frankly I'd resent him for it. I personally don't like being pressured into things no matter what they are. If the medical risk wasn't too high, I'd do it. If the procedure would affect my quality of life long term, it's a no for me dog.

Either way, I'd leave town. If I didn't donate, everyone would hate me. If I did donate, I'd resent everyone else. I'm draining all those Dupree/Richardson accounts, leaving town, and telling everyone I'm an orphan like Haley.

What would you do?

Where is Ted's parents?

We know Bill's mother died, and he has no relationship with his dad. Joey's parents are dead. Vanessa has a difficult relationship with her living(?) mother.

Has the status of Ted's parents been mentioned? Andre never mentions his grandparents, neither do Kat and Martin for that side. Nicole never talks about them. Are they dead or alive?

I'm not saying they have to make an appearance, but just mentioning that they're retired in the Caribbean or dead or something would go a long way.

Nicole received an big award. Ted and Nicole had an anniversary party. Ted and Nicole got divorced. Ted has another child now, their grandchild. Andre got married. Martin's campaign, ChelseaKat, Samantha's cotillion, etc I don't remember them ever being mentioned or did I miss it?

Now they have one grandkid in the hospital and two that have just been discharged and still nothing. No mention of them being informed or anything.

What if Ted's brother is Eva's dad?

Here me out.....

Eva being Ted's daughter is the only thing that's keeping her and Leslie connected to the rest of the cast, and I don't think either of them will be written off anytime soon.

However, Leslie calling in a favor for the DNA test, Ted never getting one on his own, and now Eva's injury has to mean something. Ik a lot of people want Eva to be Nicole's but I think that's too much of a stretch even in soap logic. Ted admits to having unprotected sex with Leslie so why would she steal one of Nicole's eggs? Infertility? As much as they talk about Kat being a miracle baby, you would think they would've mentioned a still born twin by now.

If Eva is Ted's niece instead of daughter, they get to still have basically the same relationship, and Leslie gets exposed as a fraud. Eva's still a Richardson with the same number of family members on canvas, and for however long Dani and Andre's marriage last, she'll be Dani's sister in law. That could make her always being in the Dupree's orbit make sense and add drama.

Also, if Leslie ever runs through Barbara's trust, as she realistically should have done by now, she can go after Andre's for another drama filled plot.

Who do you think will go to the funeral?

Since we didn't see Doug's, I doubt they'll show Derek's on screen. They'll probably show people meeting up after the fact.

Obviously, Jacob, Naomi, and Ashley. I'm sure Jan and Shanice will go unless they have Shanice working.

Maybe Eva. I doubt Leslie unless she wants to make it about her. Maybe Mona to support Ashley.

Unlike Doug, Derek's character was kind of on an Island. He had just started to interact with people outside of Ashley, Naomi, and Jacob.

Do you think any of the Duprees will go? Grayson (awkward)? Jacob's parents? Haley since she claimed they were so close?
