Totally changing my channel subject with 40k+ subs, disaster?

I have had a graphic design channel for a long time and have 43,000 subs. Graphic design as a whole has been struggling to the point where I believe I have reached the end of the road with this career and the ability to teach others.

If I love anymore more than design it would be personal finance and investing, which I have a lot of experience in and I know has a nice RPM.

Has anyone switched a long standing channel with high subs to a totally different topic? If so, did you follow steps or just decided to switch over your video content to that subject? Did you announce anything about the switch or just let it happen?

I would imagine this would reduce my current subs with each video I came out that was not design as that is what people subbed for. But starting a fresh new channel sounds a bit daunting after spending so much effort growing this one. Not sure I want to do the one-two year slog getting monetized again especially after rules change in Jan.

pollen allergy syndrome anyone?

Many of us have pollen allergies and we can develop pollen allergy syndrome. Our body reacts to fresh fruits and veggies nuts and seeds and thinks it's pollen because of a similar shaped protein in foods vs. pollen.

MCAS I believe is the root cause of this as we react much more strongly. My best foods so far is chick fil-a nuggets, French fries and ice cream. I do wonderfully on those types of foods. But a salad, or even worse anything with nuts. A banana? Peanut butter oh and the worse soy!

I did not have allergic reactions until my pollen allergies got little worse in my mid-twenties. I have GERD, stomach issues, rosacea, itching and histamine issues in the brain.

My quote I always tell myself is the "healthier" I eat the worse I feel.

So if anyone out there struggles when eating "healthy", our healthy might look different.

I had a cuban sandwich and potato chips, vanilla milkshake one night and was waiting for the worse GERD ever and guess what, I felt fantastic that night and slept well.

I love eating healthy but just cannot stomach it for too long. I tend to do well with herbs but go look at a pollen allergy cross reaction chart and many of your pollen allergies will cross react to a bunch of seemly unrelated foods. Who knew soy could cross react with a tree pollen?

Histamine dump or Hot Flashes?

Not officially diagnosed but always struggled with high histamine foods and also hyper mobile, possibly neurodivergent etc. So I had Thai food yesterday around 2pm. Not a lot as I tried to avoid eating too much but felt pressured due to it being a lunch with other situation.

10pm at night I was doing something super relaxing on my phone and just had anxiety for about an hour no matter what I switched to. Went to bed and around 2pm woke up feeling like a hot flash. I am 42 years old and a woman and never had a hot flash before so not sure how to compare but I had to kick the covers off and whole body felt hot. I did not sweat though just felt super hot and uncomfortable. Along with that came the worst restless legs I ever had. My whole body felt like it had restless leg. Just terrible feeling. I also had some stomach cramping and painful gas (which I common for me anyways).

Thoughts on if this was hormonal or MCAS related? I woke up this morning feeling great. I mean I can tell I did not sleep well at night but restless legs and stomach felt fine, and no anxiety. Feel great. but what a terrible night.

gasping for air at night

ODD symptom. do others with low iron have this?! I do not get shortness with breath during the day so much but around 4 months ago when my iron started going down in my bloodwork i would wake up earlier in the night just gasping for air.

ferritin is 17

just one time like i just had to wake up and take a breath of air. a few seconds while waking up i would feel fine then it is like my body just needs to remember to breath. i felt no obstruction. it only happens early in the night, happens one time not repeated in a night and only when sleeping on my left side which might be because i start sleeping on that side.

this is totally new for me but has lasted

for several months and does not happen every night. super strange sensation as it just wakes

me totally up. after that one breath everything is fine and go back to sleep.

i also am

getting restless

legs at night which i used to only get once in a blue moon.

5mg of crestor and i am now pre diabetic for the first time + muscle cramps

trying to figure out of statins are the right route. my h1a1c a measure of blood sugar was 5.4 before starting and after 8 months of 5mg a day of crestor (a pretty small dose) it went up to 5.7 and now pre diabetic! no diet change. it dropped all my cholesterol by 50 percent. so that’s good but after 8 months i am getting some uncomfortable cramping off and on in my legs and arch of my foot. for the last year i feel more shoulder pain but then hard to blame everything on statins when i am not sure.

crazy how 5mg and me missing a day or too my ldl from 155 to 87 and triglycerides by 70 percent. hdl remains 60 i could not ask for a better blood result but having a hard time with increased sensitivity to blood sugar and cramping. is me responding so good on super low dose increasing the side effects?
