It’s 3am and the joint pain won’t let me sleep..

It’s after 3 AM and I haven’t slept at all tonight because my joints hurt too much. I’m exhausted, frustrated, and honestly at the point where I don’t know what I’m supposed to do anymore. The frustrating part is that because RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) or what the doctor suspects I have hasn’t shown up in my bloodwork.

For context I’ve been dealing with joint pain, stiffness, swelling and flares for a long time and new symptoms of weird nerve pain, numbness, muscle weakness and severe headaches. I spoke with my doctor recently and he is considering Lupus and even Multiple Sclerosis, but no official diagnosis yet 😩

Some days are more manageable than others, but during a flare I’m in pain for the majority of the day, and nights like tonight I can’t even sleep through it.

I feel like I’m stuck. I’ve been told essentially that the tests don’t support rheumatoid arthritis, despite continuing to have symptoms. I previously saw a rheumatologist in the Lower Mainland, but I really want another opinion from someone willing to investigate the possibility of seronegative rheumatoid arthritis or another autoimmune disease rather than stopping at negative bloodwork. Are there any Rheumatologists here in town? I know we are pretty short on specialists.

And in the meantime…how do you actually live like this? What helped you sleep? What helped the pain enough to function? Because this is hell sometimes..

Any advice is appreciated 😔

Struggling with grief and depression during separation/divorce..

I’m hoping to hear from people who have been through a separation or divorce because I’m really struggling severely. the grief has completely blindsided me. I feel like I’m mourning everything, and the life I’ve known for so many years. But also the terrifying uncertainty of my future going forward.

During the day, I can usually keep myself busy, but the evenings are the hardest. As soon as I’m alone with my thoughts, everything seems to hit me at once. The sadness feels overwhelming, and sometimes the depression almost feels physical and the emotions just become too much to even bear.

I’m also trying to navigate all of the practical parts of separation while holding myself together emotionally, and honestly, I don’t feel like I’m coping very well.

For those of you who have gone through this:
- What helped you get through those first few months?
- Did anything make the evenings easier?
- Did you find counselling or a support group helpful?

Thanks for reading!

Looking for a bit of an unusual recommendation.

Does anyone know of a quiet, secluded place around or just outside of Prince George where I could park my car for a while and just be completely alone?
Somewhere legal and safe, but away from houses and heavy traffic. I’ve been under a lot of severe stress lately, for the past 8 weeks my life has been a living hell and I just need a place where I can cry, yell, or scream without worrying about scaring people.

I just need somewhere private to let everything out because it’s getting harder to suppress everything at this point.
If anyone knows of a good spot, I’d really appreciate the recommendation. Feel free to DM me if you’d rather not post it publicly. Thanks.
