Are we missing something about the disc less future coming in 2028?
Just had a thought - and feel free to correct me if I've missed something or am barking up the wrong tree here - with the physical media announcement stating specifically 2028, is this an indication of when the PS6 is getting pushed back till/is actually planned to be launched?
Because why would you release a new console which assumedly will either
a)launch with a feature set that takes this into consideration - no disc drive version for example, preemptively before this change comes into effect, or THEN change it in 2028 or
b) have to make a pretty fundamental change to how game purchasing options are for your customers of your brand new console just months maybe after launch (if it did in fact come out in 2027)
It feels like this is the kind of thing that you do with the launch of a new generation - like Xbox tried to do back in 2013, just they were apparently about 15 years to early lol
