Anyone willing to rent their student account to me?

I recently graduated and am dying to get access back to research papers and journals, anyone willing to rent their student account to me? I’d be willing to pay monthly for it just so I can research papers for my job (I work in healthcare).

Cork book club?

I was wondering if anyone knows of any book clubs in cork. I read about 2/3 books a month and don’t really have a genre that I stick to.

I’m interested in hearing about what other people are reading and recommending my personal favourites!

Finding it difficult to understand older books

I’ve recently started to notice that I find it more difficult to digest and understand books that were written in the 1900s.

Two recent examples have been “love in the time of cholera” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and “tender is the night” by F.Scott Fitzgerald. I struggled to understand certain contexts, with myself having to inference what was actually going on for a bit of each respective story. I would say my reading abilities are average (I’d read about 10-12 books a year, I honestly don’t have a genre) but I do tend to lean towards modern books.

I’m just worried that this will be a permanent issue and it will prevent me from reading further classics as I doubt I will get used to the older writing styles….

How bad is the house sharing market from people’s experiences?

I’m a newly qualified speech and language therapist that will be working near tallaght. I’m not starting till September but I was looking on daft at house sharing places and some seem reasonable enough (it’ll be my first time renting as I lived with my family for college and part time work).

Is it hard to get rooms in a house share at the moment?
