Hi everyone!
One of the things I’ve always wanted to do as an adult is enjoy a chill, light drink after work to wind down. The problem is, I don’t really have a friend group to do this with right now.
I recently started a new job, but I don't think any of my coworkers drink (or if they do, I'm a bit scared to ask since drinking can still be kind of taboo/frowned upon here).
I really want to get into the casual bar/pub scene safely, but I’m not sure how to go about it alone or how to meet people who share this interest.
For anyone who’s been in a similar spot:

1. How do you find or reach out to friends who enjoy light drinking without making things awkward?
2. Is going solo to a chill bar/pub a good idea at 22F, and if so, how do you do it safely and comfortably?
3. Are there specific types of places or communities I should look for?
