I know what is a function and at least the basics about it, but I can't understand the mathematical world before functions and after functions. I mean, I can't truly understand why functions are useful, like, why calculus is so exciting?

I read some stuff trying to answer this, but I can't understand probably because of no enough practical experience.

help, my fellas :(

repo: https://github.com/karinmatsu/timer.git

I wanted to use this project to clear up some questions I have about code organization in general (you’ll probably crucify me for the ton of global variables). Please critique as much as possible (within reason).

I wasn’t planning on publishing it, just saving it and cloning it in case I switched operating systems, but I really need guidance on what to improve in the code and what I should focus on learning.

I guess it's an embedded question.

I have some old devices here and I was thinking if is possible control their CPU to do any computational task that I want. Specifically, old phones.

I don't know how to do it (if possible). All I know is that I will need the ISA of the CPU and some assembly (maybe C, I don't know).

If you guys have some sources that I can learn more about it, please, share. I'm absolutely lost.

(you can answer "because you're dumb", it's ok)

It's a prototype that can already launch some programs located on /bin/ directory such as ls, rm, xxd etc. And cd builtin.

However, when using "clear", I receive "TERM environment variable not set.", and also, while trying to use editors like Micro, Nano or Vim, it's just works weird.

Micro gives: "*Error finding your home directory Can't load config files: exec: "getent": executable file not found in $PATH"

"Press enter to continue"

I found this answer, but I didn't understand exactly. I know I need to pass environment variable to my child processes, but I don't know how to implement it.
