I got a job!!!

I used to work at a pizza shop and we had to close down because something broke. I got an offer to work at another pizza shop. It’s very similar to the other pizza shop I used to work at so I won’t need much training. I get paid weekly, I don’t have to worry about any customers since i’ll only be working in back of house, it’s closer to my apartment so I won’t have to pay a lot for ubers, and i’ll actually be able to get full time hours.

No luck getting a job after being laid off

I worked at a pizza place and we had to permanently close because our line cooler broke. That was over two weeks ago. I’ve have 3 interviews since then. They’ve all been restaurants. The first one they told me i’d receive an email and if I didn’t hear back in 2-3 weeks, I could call them. I called them almost a week ago and they said I hear back in an hour and I never did. The second one they told me i’d receive a call from the kitchen manager the next day or two to come for a second interview and it’s been a week and I haven’t heard back. I went a pizza place last Saturday and dropped off an application and got a an email a few hours later to asking to come in for an interview the next day. After the interview the general manager said he’d be out of town and he’d give me a call or send an email before then. I can’t remember if he said he was going out of town yesterday and today. I was hoping i’d actually get an answer within the timeframe since I was emailed to come in for an interview the same day I applied. It’s been 3 days since my interview so i’m just gonna assume I wasn’t hired. I was hoping I got hired since it’s very similar to other pizza place I used to work at so I wouldn’t need much training. I don’t understand why I keep getting ghosted by jobs when I have the experience and the availability that they want.

Waiting to hear back from an interview

I worked at a pizza shop and we had to close because something broke and the owner doesn’t know when we’ll reopen. That was over two weeks ago. I’ve had three interviews since then. The first two interviews have been terrible at communicating even after i’ve followed up after the interview. The last interview I had was on Sunday. I went to a pizza place and dropped off at application the day before and I got an email the same day asking if I was available to come in for an interview. The general manager talked about pay, tips, the scheduling app, how many hours i’d like to work, says that he’s able to give overtime, and if I have Friday and Saturday available for when the out university has home games. I know the general manager discussing all these things doesn’t mean i’m hired. He told me he’d give me an answer before he’d leave town on Wednesday which is tomorrow. The way these other jobs have been communicating, I have very little hope that i’m going to get a decision today. The job pays weekly, has a flexible scheduling, is very similar to the last pizza shop I worked at, and is closer to my apartment so I don’t have to pay a lot for ubers. Please wish me luck!!

Temporarily lost my job

I work at a pizza shop and our cooler broke and the owner claims she doesn’t know what to do about it and she doesn’t know when we can reopen. It’s been two weeks since I last worked. I had an interview last week at a restaurant. After the interview they told me I would receive an email soon and if I didn’t hear back in 2-3 weeks, I can call them. I tried to call 4 days after my interview to get update and no one answered. After trying to call them for days, they finally answered the phone yesterday. They told me i’d hear back in an hour and it’s been radio silence.

I went to a walk in interview on Monday at an another restaurant. The person I interviewed with called me the next day and told me the kitchen manager would reach out that even or the next day to schedule an interview and it’s been radio silence again. I don’t understand what i’ve been doing wrong. I have the experience and i’m afraid that both of these places have already picked other candidates but they just don’t want to tell me. I haven’t gotten any other interviews. I have bills that I need to pay.
