Fav LE SSERAFIM song based on its meaning

I think most people do choose their favourite songs based on the genre od the most and their music taste rather than the meaning but most people also have a favourite song based on the meaning behind it

So,as a person who loves their songs and the meanings behind them aswell and their overall image,I'd like to know other fearnots favourite songs

Anything that maybe they relate with?

I personally love seeing analysing songs and their meanings and how we can use messages in songs to motivate ourselves so it'd be nice to see long explanations as to what your le sserafim song means and maybe an explanation as to how you might relate to it

I really loved yunjins explanation on their song celebration and Ash a while ago so I'm hoping for those kinds of explanations

My favourite: Eve, Psyche, and the Bluebeard's wife

I love how it talks about these three mythological women and how they "broke the rules" and seeked forbidden knowledge. It shows we should break unnecessary taboos and encourages, women especially,to be brave and escape the shell society might have trapped them in and fulfill their curiosity rather than staying silent

Ticket Resale Window

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone knows when AXS resale opens for Le Sserafim? I have extra tickets to the London show but I'm still not able to sell them, I know sometimes it is closer to the tour date when resale opens but wondered if anyone had a more specific time period.

Wishing I could go back and discover LE SSERAFIM all over again

I want to go back to the time when I first discovered LE SSERAFIM.

I wasn't a K-pop fan per se, though I knew a few older songs from growing up watching Running Man, as well as some newer hits like Supernova and OMG.
My actual introduction to them happened through the Overwatch collab. I really liked Perfect Night, but at the time, I didn't pay much attention to the group behind it. Later, a Marvel Rivals edit featuring Crazy popped up on my feed. I loved it, checked out the music video, and was blown away by how fun it was. (I'm not usually a fan of English lyrics in older K-pop, but theirs actually make sense and are incredibly catchy).

Because of that, when Different popped up in my recommendations, I gave it a listen and loved it too. Then I let Hot play next—and that was it, I fell in love. I immediately went down the rabbit hole of their other music videos and had an absolute blast.

At that point, I didn't know their personalities, hadn't watched any variety content, and hadn't even listened to their B-sides, but I was already a fan. The release of Spaghetti was the first comeback I actively waited for, and it did not disappoint—what a incredibly fun song. Through that era, I learned that their career journey hasn't been the smoothest and that they've faced a lot of unnecessary hate for some reason.

Naturally wanting to know more, I started watching edits and clips, getting a taste of their personalities. I eventually checked out their documentaries, and man, they were heavy and totally unexpected. That led me straight into Leniverse, Day Off, and all their other content. By then, I can safely say I was a full-fledged FEARNOT.
I love how funny they are together and how incredibly hard they work. Spending every day watching two or three episodes of their variety shows, knowing I still had more to look forward to, was a magical experience. Now that I've caught up on everything—even before the Celebration release—I realize I'll never get that initial feeling of discovery back.

A lot of fans might have a bias, but I can never truly pick one. I just love all five of them individually and their dynamic as a group. Every single member brings something to the table, whether it is in the music or behind the scenes:

Sakura: I stumbled onto the Sakura employment meme, the clip of her crying and then immediately eating fish, and the Justin Bieber interaction, meaning I knew the meme lore before I even knew her actual background! Honestly, I don’t think LE SSERAFIM would be as resilient against the hate train without her years of industry experience.

Chaewon: In Chaewon we trust! Chaebron was truly bizarre, and I can’t forget Kim Dodok. Like Sakura, her past experience as an idol is a massive reason the group can weather the storms they face.

Yunjin: Her journey to LE SSERAFIM was riddled with ups and downs, and I can't imagine what a massive loss it would have been if she hadn't debuted. Don’t even get me started on her musical impact. I love how she normalizes talking about feelings and openly expresses her love for the group. Plus, as a native English speaker, she makes their English interviews so entertaining and ensures their English lyrics are always on point.

Kazuha: The "don’t touch me there" dance was hilarious, and watching her learn Korean has been such a treat. Without her, we wouldn't have all those wholesome moments of the members teaching her about Korean culture. Plus, the group’s "Fearless" identity wouldn't be as impactful—I can't even imagine the courage it took to switch from ballet to a K-pop idol in a brand new country with a new language!

Eunchae: Seeing Eunchae win every single game they play with that massive smile always cracks me up. I think she brings out the motherly and big-sister instincts in the older members, which really helped them bond right from the start.

TL;DR: I love LE SSERAFIM, but I've officially run out of new content to watch. The wild journey of discovering them, their music, and their memes was an absolute blast. I wish I could wipe my brain or travel back in time to experience it all over again.

Do you consider LSF 4th gen or 5th?

I'm fairly new to Kpop, so hopefully this isn't a stupid question. I've seen break downs of the generations that put LSF right at the cusp of 5th gen, but I've also seen many people refer to them as 4th. I assumed they were 4th before I saw a timeline breakdown.

'EASY CRAZY HOT' ENCORE IN SEOUL DC Review: I Miss Physical Media🥺

My 'EASY CRAZY HOT' ENCORE IN SEOUL DC has arrived, so I wanted to share some thoughts about video-related releases going forward.

This is my first LE SSERAFIM video merch item. The EASY CRAZY HOT trilogy means a lot to me personally, for a few reasons:

  • I went to concerts and fan meetings several times while these songs were being promoted.
  • These albums and songs are the ones I have kept listening to the longest.
  • I wanted to revisit the concert VCR-only tracks and live arrangements.

For those reasons, I decided to buy it. The contents are very satisfying, and more than enough to bring back memories of those days.

This is not exactly a new issue, but the biggest drawback of this product is that the video is VOD. I knew this when I pre-ordered it, and I fully understand if someone says, “Why complain now?” But once I actually opened it and checked everything, I still felt a real sense of emptiness. All you do is tap the keychain with the built-in NFC tag against your smartphone and go through a few steps. The mechanical nature of that process only makes the emptiness feel stronger.

I understand that producing pressed video discs involves many steps, and that the total cost is clearly not comparable to CDs. Still, aren’t physical goods — their usefulness and their special feeling — something K-pop companies understand better than almost anyone? Maybe this is just the way things are moving, but it still feels a little disappointing that video alone seems to be treated as an exception to physical media.

I still think physical media has many advantages for video releases.

First, it remains as an actual object, so it satisfies the desire to own something. Just like placing a CD or vinyl record into a player, putting a disc into a player can be a kind of ritual that helps you immerse yourself in the work.

In terms of video and audio quality, physical media still has advantages as well. With streaming, quality is often reduced because of platform limitations, practical internet infrastructure, and the need to support many different viewing environments. Depending on the internet connection, buffering can happen, and video or audio quality may change during playback.

Lastly, this may be more of a mindset issue, but even though we pay for the content, the content itself is not really in our hands.

With VOD, we do not own the video file itself. We are only given the “right” to access the video. Watching it requires an internet connection, and it also involves things like accounts and authentication. I do not think this will happen anytime soon, but if Weverse or the server side were ever to stop providing the service, we would no longer be able to access the content. Of course, this is also true of subscription services in general, so it is not necessarily a problem unique to VOD.

If the concert video were offered as paid content on a general streaming service like Netflix or Hulu, I think I could understand it to some extent. But if it is being sold as a standalone merch product, it is hard for me to fully accept unless there is some kind of system that lets buyers access the content permanently, or at least for the long term.

The scanimation-style package, which is probably something you try a few times and then leave alone, the high-quality paper and embossed cover of the photo book, the cards carefully placed inside paper bags, and the secret message card that reveals its contents with body heat — there are many small details that may seem minor or even unnecessary at first glance.

But I think those little details are what make the product fun and satisfying to hold, even if the user does not consciously think about them. Because the package pursues this kind of beauty in seemingly unnecessary details, I find it even more questionable that the video content itself has been made intangible, seemingly in the name of efficiency.

I am curious to see what future releases will be like, but for now, I will enjoy the VOD. If they ever release a Blu-ray, I will buy it again. 😂

What do you all think?

UPDATE(260705, JST): I finished checking the main VOD, so I would like to add some brief thoughts here.

  • The video quality needs improvement. This was in a wired network environment, and the stream was fixed at 1080p.

Dark areas look lifted, and block noise caused by low bitrate, as well as smeared details, are constantly noticeable. Even relatively static scenes, such as the VCR sections, look like they are struggling at times.

  • The venue ambience is quite loud, and the fan chants are easy to hear.

I think it does a decent job of conveying the live atmosphere and energy. The reverb itself feels fairly restrained.

  • From an archive-minded perspective, I have some complaints about the content and production choices.

The pauses during talk segments and transitions are trimmed to a reasonable degree, so the video moves at a good pace. Since this is being turned into a video release, I think that part is understandable.

However, the VCR sections use only the original source audio, with no venue ambience at all. At the venue, whenever a member appeared or did something, the audience cheered. During the VCR intro before SPAGHETTI, especially the scene where CHAEWON types on a keyboard, the typing sound mixed with the dome’s reflections and suddenly rang out through the space. It created a certain kind of tension. It is a little disappointing that this kind of irreplaceable live experience is lost in the video release.

Lastly, this is completely my own oversight, but the setlist/content has been changed. In the ABEMA TV broadcast version of the TOKYO DOME show, because Sanrio characters appeared on stage, a VTR was inserted during “Kawaii” for the livestream. Because there had already been that precedent, I had accepted that “Kawaii” would probably not be included. However, this time even “UNFORGIVEN,” one of their signature live staples, was cut. I was especially looking forward to the seamless transition from “UNFORGIVEN” to “ANTIFRAGILE” and the live arrangement, so this was a disappointing point for me. I wish the release had been made after clearing those rights-related issues.

From an archive-minded perspective, because there are major changes to the content, I cannot really call this a complete record of the concert. It feels more like a cleanly edited selection of only the parts that can be shown. I do not think it fully allows you to relive the concert at home.

Pre-voting update, why IBM's current number hides our path to victory.

First off I need to admit that I overlooked V8 as a factor in my previous projections. I thought there'd be a little less interest in their voting because they're a subunit, and they have less points before pre-voting, but how wrong was I haha. The Carats are coming in hot like the name of that SVT classic. I learned my lesson to not underestimate the power of the Carat fandom 😁. But don't worry we can still win.

When pre-voting began for the second day IBM's number quickly shot up from 6.9% to 7.5% while it lowered for H2H, Ateez, and Boynextdoor. That tells me that those fandoms realize they can't win and aren't voting hard like they were yesterday. That's what was hurting our numbers. With those fandoms calming down we need to do the opposite and ramp up our efforts. Our upshoot in the % proves our fandoms are strong and can push forward.

Our current pre-voting number is 196 (7.5 ÷ 38.2 × 1000 = 196), and that's a solid number when combined with our score before pre-voting which is 5843. Let's push it as high as we can when pre-voting ends on Tuesday 11 am EST, Wednesday 12 AM KST. I already explained how to vote on the Mnet Plus app several times so I don't need to rehash that. If you have any questions on the voting feel free to leave a comment and I'll happily answer them.

Edit: We're up to 7.6% and V8 are down to 37.4. That makes our calculation, 7.6 ÷ 37.4 × 1000 = 203. We have 203 preliminary points for pre-voting with our score 5843 before pre-voting. Preliminary score of 6046. Let's keep this up!

Question about freebies quantity

So I like to make pixel art of the idols and hand them out in packs. Last December, I made 40 packs of Katseye and was shocked how the first 40 people I encountered took all 40 packs. I felt bad because the 41st person didn't get one and they looked disappointed.

Question is, how many packs do people typically give out? Should I make? 50? 100? I'll be doing this for Le Sserafim, Mamamoo, and IVE. I don't know what the norm is for people that give out freebies.

Urgent pre-voting announcement!

Everyone our numbers are surprisingly good in the opening hour of pre-voting. We're currently at 13.9%. V8 are in the lead at 39.6%. Based on the system M Countdown uses for calculating pre-voting we're already at around 351 points. Our points before pre-voting are 5843. Pre-voting is based on the system where the runner up's % is divided with the winner's percentage, so for us it's currently 13.9 ÷ 39.6 x 1000 = 351. We just need to keep the percentage at a solid number for us to get enough pre-votes to bolster our lead of 5843.

IBM's percentage is dropping because of the rush of voters, but the percentage will stabilize at a solid number, and then IBM's percentage will increase in the latter half of the day. I noticed that pattern in each day of voting when Boompala and IBM won on M Countdown. What counts is that IBM has a solid starting off point for the numbers to increase over the next few days. Besides those factors, V8 has less points before pre-voting than the front runners ATEEZ and SKZ, so if V8 maintains their lead and wins pre-voting, then it'll split the scores of the other contenders and improve our chances even more. The winner of pre-voting gets 1000 points while the other points are proportioned based on the calculations I explained above.

Long story short, we stand a serious shot of winning based on the pre-voting. Everyone download the Mnet Plus app and vote! 5 votes per day, watch an ad for each vote, and you can cast extra votes on other devices by using a different device with an alternate email address. Go out and vote!
