Steps and distance walked

I see a lot of you guys seem to have the option and opportunity to be able to sit and relax, or you work a desk job. This question is not for you.

For the people who work a job where they constantly on their feet how many steps a shift are you getting? I average anywhere between 20k and 50k steps depending on how busy I am. Do you guys struggle to also keep the same amount of steps or physical activity on your off days?

PC was given to me

My old roommate moved away and left his second computer and it has become mine. When we was texting me about it he said all it needs is windows to start working.

I've never had to install software on my computer and laptops so I was wondering if it is as easy as just plugging in the flash drive and starting it up.

He also left it with no power cord, I know it was working at least like 9 months ago because it was his main PC.

Do I just buy a new power cord or do I gotta figure out the right one?

Friends and Family

I've been doing the night shift for years and it never was a huge issue for me. Now I'm in a new city, without any family and maybe 1 or 2 people I can't actually call friends. I started a job after a year of being unemployed and I'm struggling to feel comfortable. How do you guys meet new people and make friends when you're asleep whenever everyone else is? I just don't wanna be so lonely anymore.
