Happy Friday! Funny garden update to start the morning 🌶️

Thank y’all so much for the support and advice on my last post about my boyfriend’s cowhorn peppers. We are eventually going to try mixing them with our brother’s scotch bonnets in the future.

These pictures were peppers he harvested last night. I thought they looked great so I took pictures to share here.

Mildly amusing story for anyone who has time to read… We’ve had a heat advisory in Mississippi for the past few days. Recently my bf told the family that we could do whatever we wanted with harvesting the cayenne pepper plants because they haven’t been any bit hot the way that he had hoped (like a rogue one or two had been spicy regardless of color, but consistently super duper mild).

Last night, I asked to try the tip of one of his cayenne pepper’s first before he ate it (a safe but brave move in my mind haha). I hardly know a thing about spicy or hot peppers. I told him my bite wasn’t spicy hot at all, but as I chewed I told him that the taste had a hint of depth to it??? Like it may be hot… but I literally had no idea lol. I just knew my bite was not spicy hot.

My man eats habaneros as a side dish to his meals almost every night. I’ve seen him drink a little milk maybe one time over the years. A true hot pepper lover. Y’all that cayenne pepper sent my man speed walking to the bathroom sink drooling with red teary eyes for a couple minutes. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Have a great day fellow Pepper Lovers!

Peppers

My partner and I are so excited to join this group. He really loves growing peppers. I know this picture doesn’t seem like much but we are so proud of these cowhorns. Sometimes they are spicy and sometimes they are sweet.
