CPA candidate looking for advice.

I desperately want to change careers. Took FAR last week and waiting on results. I’m in California and have 20+ years of management, risk assessment and financial planning experience. I’m hoping to get into Audit, fractional CFO or NFP. What are my chances you think?

How did CPA change your career?

I’d love to know. I’m waiting on score release next week and my end goal is to switch careers and get into Audit fractional CFO or NFP 🤞 I’d love to hear about your story and how CPA contributed to your success …..

Well I got out of FAR this morning my friends.

Honestly I don’t know how else I needed to study to be able to interpret wth they were trying to ask. It def was not lack of accounting Knowledge! It was lack of I don’t know what …. I didn’t know you needed to be an English interpreter AND a mind reader to be able to pass these exams!! 😳 SE1 71% and SE2 75%! I’m sure I have to take it again so this Becker Bump may also need to be interpreted differently 🤣🤯

SEFR? Do it or leave it? I sit for FAR on Thursday

SE1 71% SE2 75%
I’m comfortable with those scores. Should I take the SEFR tomorrow? I’m scared that if I get a low score then my confidence will tank …. 😬 what should I do?!

I sit for FAR on 7/23 at 8am. First exam in 20+ years ….

My plan is to take 7/22 off from doing MCQs and just do a cumulative 2-3 hour review and relax the rest of the day. My question is should I review on the day of the exam as well or just wake up, have coffee and walk in to take the exam?

Sitting for FAR for the first time on 7/22! Cant get my nerves!!under control! Help!!

Feel pretty comfortable with the material. Been scoring around 80 on my cumulative MCQs. Started timing myself on TBS and I can’t get my nervous under control. I go too fast and mess up on SIMs! Anyone has a remedy for this?! Should I just accept the fact that I WILL run out of time due to being too slooooowwww!! and wish myself luck?! 😩

For those of you who sat for FAR multiple times before passing. What did you have to do differently to pass?

Just like the title says. What did you have to change? Study method, more practice, focus, commitment etc

I really hope not! This would mean I need to purchase a new calculator and way more time to spend on studying F4
