Anyone try to go "4th of July" with food yesterday? LOL

I had 2 drinks during the day, and a quite massive hamburger (1/2 bun) and I felt like I was going to explode! That was around 4-5pm and I didn't have another bite of food for the 6 remaining hours of my day. Woke up today feeling great! Post-July 4 used to be so rough with record breaking caloric intakes and boozing. It didn't sound good at all yesterday.

No insurance pathway

I paid (BMI not low enough for insurance) for 1.5's and the 4's with coupon, $149. But the 9's are like...$299, and I am supposed to go to them in 2 weeks. $5 a day is acceptable for me (Starbucks daily), but $10 a day is probably a no.

I wonder if I should just continue the 4's for another month at $149.

Side note, at the beginning of it all I was a dumbass and ordered three bottles of 1.5's. So I have 2 new bottles of 1.5's. My PHP was like "just take 2 a day for 30 more days". I know that Wegovy doesn't say this works, but the doctor seems to not care.

Anyone do this yet?

FYI, I've lost 12 pounds after 1 1/2 months and want to lose 15 more.

Day 12 of the 4mg + data points

Started 225lbs - 6'3" - Focus to lose the 25-30 pounds that I can never seem to lose in my 50's :(

Did my 30 days at 1.5mg. I think I had lost around 7 pounds when that was done. (I was also in Japan for 10 of those days doing insane steps and not overeating).

At Day 12 of the 4mg now, and the lowest I hit the other day was close to 13 pounds down, but I have settled back up around 12 pounds down. I feel like I am hitting a floor. I am also feeling a little more hungry than usual. Hmm. But I can see the body change which is YES!

I've had a couple bouts with not pooping for over a day, then having uncomfortable constipation & backup poops after (sorry). Taking a few magnesium citrate gummies now per a post I read in hopes that I don't deal with too much of that. Also upping my water.

The other night, I think for the first time, I ate a small amount of late night food. To be specific, about 5 forks of cold spaghetti like Tony Soprano, right out of the fridge. Man...I woke up the next day still burping it for a while, where I didn't really want my coffee. NOT SUGGESTED! No more of that. I used to love my late night booze n snacks. The Wegovy has eliminated that for me, thankfully.

Hope to hear more positives out there! We are all guinea pigs lol.

Hit my first food wall today

I’ve mentioned in other posts that I finished the 1.5 mg pills recently, it was a very light curb on my appetite, and I lost about 7 pounds.

I’m on day three of the 4 mg right now. I officially hit my first food wall. It was my first meal of the day in the early afternoon after coffee only in the a.m. I got some chicken fajitas. I was just eating them with a fork, not really eating the carbs. I may have gotten halfway and I was like… OK, I’m done.

Honestly, I just love that. It’s the right amount of food. I should be eating as a 56-year-old who doesn’t work out a ton. Just can’t be eating this many calories at this age. Facts.

Starting 4mg

Just finished the 1.5mg for 30 days. Cravings slightly reduced/intake is less. Maybe lost 1-2 lbs. (I am 6'3" and 225 at start).

Starting the 4mg today. Not sure what to expect.

Day 6 on 1.5 pill

Following up to my earlier (Day 2) post. I am down a little over 4 pounds (was 225.x, and now 221 even). I think that's just that first bit of weight that everyone seems to lose.

I have been very conscious of what I eat, and it's definitely less. I am not sure if it's the pill, but I guess if my desire to eat is lowered (let's say 4 hours after a meal), it could be the pill nudging me. When I eat a "normal" meal, it feels like digestion is much slower, so I am more so trying to stick to small things (like a rice cake with pb on it, and it makes me happy, or protein powder shake, or just small bites).

Constipation happened once around day 5. It hurt, but before or since that...zero.

Some people talk about having no energy. I drink one coffee and one energy drink per day and I am like a rocket ship. I found myself talking to my daughter last night at dinner like I was on crack and had to slow myself down. The ONLY thing that slows me down? You guessed it. Too much food at once. Hits like a ton of bricks 30mins later. But isn't that always?? Unless you're like 22yo. So, that has to stop.

Only exercise I've done (due to business insanity) is the daily dog speed walk...because he has only one speed, seemingly. But I FEEL like I really want to do some weights. My energy is high.

I SO MUCH want to see 220 pop up on the scale, but I think getting further than 4-5 pounds is gonna take more activity and less calories. I still am very conscious of eating veg, protein, small amount of fruit, and barely any carbs.

Day 2 on pills

I'm on day 2 of the 1.5 pills. I feel nothing. Exactly normal. How long do side effects, if any, typically take to develop?

Other question for members here is how long did the desire to eat less take to kick in on the 1.5? I am not being impatient! (long way to go with 3 months worth of pills), but I am more so curious!

My story is that I am 55, 6'2" and about 225...skinny fat body. I haven't been at 200 (my target...or slightly less) for probably 15 years. I am healthy, per labs etc. Super busy, computer-sitter. I don't eat a ton of shit. But CANNOT kick this flat tire around my waist or the moobs, or the desire to snack at night. I don't have the time for full-blast gym with job & parenting a young teen. I walk the dog daily, and do some occasional gym. My PCP didn't flinch at signing-off on the prescription. Insurance won't cover because I am not obese BMI (28 range).

Curious to hear about your stories and read through!
