Is there any discrimination against students who wish to change career paths after MBBS?

Are students who have decided to pursue something else after MBBS, whether that be UPSC, MBA, Healthcare-related startups, or content creation, discriminated against in college?

Can such a student reveal their plans to their friends and seniors, or do they need to stay lowkey?

Will the professors hold a grudge against you if they come to find out?

How to RE-LEARN Bengali as a Bengali?

Okay, so this is quite embarrassing, but I am quite bad at reading (and ofc writing) Bengali, being a Bengali myself.

I grew up in Kolkata and have lived here all my life, but since I was enrolled in an ICSE/ISC curriculum, I never felt the need to practice reading Bengali and practically ignored it. I left Bengali as a subject in Class 10 (I got 89/100 in ICSE Bengali).

I have gotten my Michael Modhushudhon moment, and I would like to improve my Bengali reading skills. Whenever I see discussions in Bengali and have to hit the "translate" button, my heart shatters into a million pieces.

I can read sentences SLOWLY. I have forgotten most of the complex mixed letters. Whenever I see multiple lines, my mind panics and tries to ignore them.

Now that I have a few months before college starts, I'd like to correct the mistake I made. How should I go about it? Some people have suggested that I read books, but I gotta tell you that's the most intimidating thing out there for me since I have never read a book outside my curriculum.

And this is not just my problem; this is a recurring pattern in people my age and younger. How to get out of it?
