Today is the day! 👩🏻‍🎓🎓

Today is the day, I will be walking at commencement and graduating with my Associates Degree at the tender age of 48!

I’m so excited and so emotional.

Congrats to everyone else who went back to school and is graduating, or graduated.

I had a bit of a rocky start, but I did it. I went back and finished.

One degree down, and more to go!

I had a patient tell me, age is just a number. She went back to school and graduated at 77 years old with a bachelors!

Congrats everyone!!! ❤️❤️👩🏻‍🎓👩🏻‍🎓🎓🎓

My kids motivated me to go back to college and get my degree. The three of us were supposed to walk together at commencement, but they changed their major and were added a few more classes and will graduate next year.

They are encouraging me to walk by myself and yet I feel guilty. It shouldn’t be me, it should be them. They should be the ones walking. Plus I feel so old, I’m 48. I haven’t told anyone about this and I just wanted to share.

They convinced me and so I signed up to walk.

I’m getting excited, it’s coming up in two weeks. I worked so hard these past few years, and on top of it, I got accepted into bachelors program for my local Cal state University. 🎉
