9/11 book search

Hi! I need help finding a book I’ve read/listened to years ago. It’s been bugging me for some time now and now when I’m listening to Rita Potter’s “What really matters” I thought I’d finally ask for help.

I can’t the whole plot but I do remember the book was about the established couple. I mostly remember the end because it was a bit of a surprise for me. One of the MCs was supposed have a meeting in one of the towers and was presumed dead after both towers fell and days later she comes back to their apartment all bloody and dirty. That’s it. That’s all I remember.

I even searched if it’s the same book but Potter’s book was published in 2025 and the one I’ve been looking for was from several years ago.

Any ideas? Please help.

P.S. I’ll be laughing my ass off if it’s the same book and I really don’t remember anything at all from it.

This one is a true “asking for a friend” 😉 post.

So, my friend recently met a woman and discovered she’s “probably gay” and it wasn’t said as a joke. The woman she has a massive crush on is very tall, very muscular and after meeting her my friend said “That would explain my over eager reaction to Brienne of Tarth whenever I watched GoT.”. She asked me if I can recommend her some books with this type of characters as main characters. Think Brienne, Yasha Nydoorin (Amazon’s “Mighty Nein”), and basically any similar MC you can think of.

I’ve already suggested few:

“Shifting gears” by Jaz Forester

And Lexa Luthor books but I don’t know if that’ll be something she’ll like.

Would be very grateful for your help.
