How about a community exclusively for sapphic books?

Hi everyone! Hope this is okay to share here since the mods kindly said a resource post was fine.

I’m one of the people behind Saphly, a small platform we’re building for sapphic/girlxgirl stories. Me and the co-founder both came from Wattpad, and part of what pushed us to build this was wanting something better for sapphic stories and better representation in online reading spaces.

One thing that really matters to us is representation. On Saphly, readers can search using representation tags across things like gender and sexual identity, ethnic identity, disability and neurodiversity, body diversity, and relationship dynamics, because finding a story that reflects you, or teaches you something real about someone else, should not feel harder than it needs to be.

We’re still small and still building, but the goal is simple: help more sapphic stories get discovered, support the people writing them, and make the online reading space feel more welcoming and intentional.

If anyone wants to check it out, here it is: https://saphly.com

And genuinely, I’d love to hear what kinds of sapphic stories or search filters you’re always hoping to find more of 🥰🙏

Sun-Kissed Fangs CW Question (spoilers and NSFW)

To preface, I absolutely adore the Court of Chains books and am very excited for this one. Kiss of Seduction was a very hard book for me to read as depictions of >!sexual violence!< really upset me. That being said I thought it was handled beautifully and it’s a testament to Sabor’s writing that I still fell in love with the series.

I saw on her website there is a content warning for >!graphic on page attempted rape!< for this book and I just want to be prepared before getting the audiobook. Can someone let me know where in the book it happens so I can prepare myself and skip a few passages if needed? Otherwise I think my anxiety over when it’s coming will ruin my first read through.

Thanks so much!!

desperately in need of your favorite sapphic books

I almost exclusively read MM books.

I really want to read and like sapphic books, but I struggle to find ones where I feel the characters have depth and real romantic chemistry, but I know they exist!

I'm a sucker for a bi/gay-awakening but that is not a need, feel free to share anything though, fantasy, paranormal, horror, dark, slow burn etc

Some MM favorites/recents for plot/character inspo

  • Half Drawn Boy by Suki Fleet

  • Captive Prince series by CS Pacat

  • Marshals by Mary Calmes

  • Don't Let the Forest In and Hazelthorn by CG Drew's

  • You Weren't Meant To Be Human by Andrew White

  • Monstrous by Lily Mayne

To clarify I have read sapphic books before and enjoyed them, just not lately. For example

  • Rules for Fake Girlfriends by Reagan Revord

  • A Dark and Drowning Tide by Allison Saft

  • Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo

  • Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan

  • The Dead and the Dark by Courtney Gould

  • Written in the Stars by Alexandra Bellefleur

Edited: Thanks everyone for all the great recommendations! Anyone have anything that isn't historical/contemporary and maybe a little darker? Think morally grey, serial killer, body horror etc. Would love the vibes of some of the mm books just with female characters!

Looking for recs

Hello, everyone. I’m looking for any sort of sapphic books as long as they fulfill these requirements.
Fantasy setting with some sort of powers. Mainly historical but I don’t mind modern either.
The women are powerful and strong, specifically the strongest people in their world.

That’s all!

Looking for a book that can make me reflect on my relationship with my bestfriend

I just finished The Girl Who Bit Me by Valerie Hunter. I loved it. I also read and loved Annie on my mind by Nancy Garden. Both titles have me questioning myself and my best friend’s relationship and if its something more. I felt I could relate to both titles. My friend had a messed up childhood and is very shy and quiet so any character like that the better. If a character has ADHD thats also great. We are long distance right now and it’s killing me and my thoughts!

I’m pretty new to romantasy. I like historical fiction, gothic themes and contemporary genres too.Preferably characters in their early 20’s or 30’s.

Thanks!

Looking for sapphic/lesbian romance with amnesia + second chance

Hi! I’m looking for sapphic/lesbian romance books with an amnesia + second chance trope.
I’m especially looking for stories where two women were already in a relationship or married, they separated, and then one of them loses her memory. I love when the other woman stays by her side and they slowly fall in love again.
I’m looking for adult, contemporary romance, preferably long books. I don’t want fantasy, historical, YA, or mystery/suspense where the romance isn’t the main focus.

books like what the woods took by courtney gould?

Hey! I finished this book about 4 months ago and have been in a reading slump since because nothing compares it it 😭 I enjoyed it so much and was wondering if anybody has book recs similar to it? What I enjoyed about it was the mystery plot with the romance sub plot, a masculine presenting female character and the fact it was easy to read. Any help would be sooo appreciated thanks :)

Real authors on KU

I know there's been a lot of discussion about how it seems like a lot of books on Kindle Unlimited these days are pretty clearly written by AI. I agree that it can get a bit dicey to claim that an author is AI, especially if they're a newer author who may not have an established presence yet, or may prefer to write under a pen name.

So- who are some KU authors, especially newer authors, who are most definitely humans who are writing their books without AI? I would love to seek them out!

Amazon AI List

I have been really wanting to make a list of authors to watch for on Amazon with AI. This is taking away from small authors who are self published. If anyone has anything add please do.
Also please correct me if I’m wrong.

  1. Aurora North
  2. Monica Benetez
  3. Iris Blythe Grey

BFFs to lovers recommendations, please!

I’m looking for a true best-friends-to-lovers book where the characters are already best friends from the very beginning and gradually realize they’re in love. I don’t want: strangers → friends → lovers second-chance romance characters meeting for the first time I want them to already have that deep friendship, inside jokes, comfort, and familiarity, and then have the relationship naturally turn romantic. Basically, I’m looking for a warm, fluffy, cozy read that makes me smile and gives me all the “oh, they’re so in love with each other” feelings. Please recommend me your favorites!

Looking for a Shappic book about mermaids

Hi Reddit! I got some great recommendations on my last post, so I’m back for more.

I’m looking for a sapphic/F/F romance featuring a mermaid or siren as a central character.

My favorite pairings would be:

- Siren × pirate

- Siren × siren

- Siren × human

I’m really looking for a proper romance, not just a side character who happens to be a mermaid.

And I’d love a bit of spice!

I’m open to fantasy, romantasy, dark fantasy, etc. If you have any recs

even if they don’t tick every single box—I’m all ears! Thaaanks!
