Hey guys I really do not know what to do. For some background I am from NYC. I am picking between DYU ( buffalo , 1 hour flight from nyc) , or SGU ( Grenada, 5 hour flight from NYC). What appeals to me about SGU is that it is a New York based school, so meaning I would do my first and second year in the island and have my third and fourth year rotations in the hospitals in NYC. Unlike in DYU I have to do my rotations in buffalo. DYU is also a brand new school, meaning I would be part of the inaugural class, I do not know if the risk is worth. Nobody knows how well this school prepares for step. Even tho SGU is international, it already has a vast hospital network in NYC. What I am thinking Is that I'd rather spend 2 years away , than 3-4 in buffalo. And if it helps I wanna do PMR or anesthesia possibly. So new DO vs BEST Caribbean.

I’m originally from New York so what appeals to me about SGU is that they have over a dozen hospital affiliations, AUC doesn’t have as many. But I heard SGU is MUCH harder than AUC. I personally wanna do PMR , what you guys thinks?

Can people from both schools weight in which I should go to.
