ACAMS UK regulations

Hi everyone,

I'm a Risk & Compliance professional from India with 7 years of experience in fintech, primarily in merchant risk, AML/CFT, KYC, transaction monitoring, and regulatory compliance. I've worked with payment companies throughout my career and am currently at a senior manager level.

I've just started preparing for the CAMS certification and plan to take the exam in the next couple of months. My long-term goal is to move abroad, with Singapore being my top choice because of its strong fintech ecosystem.

I had a few questions for those who've made a similar move:

  • Did CAMS make a noticeable difference when applying for roles in Singapore or other fintech hubs?
  • How valuable is CAMS compared to hands-on experience in AML/Risk & Compliance?
  • Did anyone relocate from India after obtaining CAMS? If so, how did you approach the job search?
  • Are there specific skills or certifications (MAS regulations, sanctions, fraud, crypto compliance, etc.) that employers in Singapore value in addition to CAMS?
  • Any advice on networking or finding companies that sponsor Employment Passes for experienced compliance professionals?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience—both success stories and challenges. Thanks in advance!

https://www.shopmistry.com/ is a scam or genuine?

Has anyone successfully received orders from ShopMistry recently?

I placed Order #40544 on 12 April 2026 for 2 pairs of sandals. The stated delivery timeline was 15–25 working days.

Since then, I've received multiple assurances that the order would ship within "5–7 working days." Every deadline has been missed.

On 8 June, the company explicitly confirmed via email that they would process my refund because the agreed shipment deadline had passed. I shared my UPI details as requested. However, the refund was never processed and I was once again asked to wait for shipment.

Most recently, they even emailed claiming that "3 out of 4 products" from my order had already been delivered, which is completely incorrect. I have not received a single item.

It has now been over 2 months since I placed the order. I've raised a dispute with Razorpay and am considering filing a consumer complaint.

What surprises me is the number of similar complaints and negative reviews I found online after this experience. Given the volume of complaints, I'm genuinely curious how merchants with such consistent customer grievances continue to be supported by payment providers without stronger intervention.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has successfully received an order, obtained a refund, or had a similar experience.
