Woven wrap into ring sling?
I got what I thought was a ring sling off of FB marketplace, but it turned out to be a long woven wrap (4.2m) and two pretty small rings (about 7cm in diameter) by Little Frog.
I tried turning it into a makeshift ring sling by folding it down the middle and threading it through both rings, then using the two ends like you would use the one tail of a regular ring sling, but the fabric is way too thich to pass twice through rings this size. Even if it did, it gets real bulky real fast.
Now I'm contemplating what to do. Should I just keep the wrap and use it as is (and get another fabric for DIY-ing a ring sling with the rings)? Are 7cm rings even enough for a ring sling really? I also thought of cutting up this wrap to have a good size for a ring sling and sewing it to the rings, and then the other half could be maybe used as a doula scarf (not me already thinking of a potential second baby...). Are there ways to wear a woven wrap with the rings that's not the ring sling way?
I already have a long stretchy wrap, but the baby is getting too heavy and keeps sliding down unless I really tighten it, and it's getting way too hot to wrap him that tightly. At the same time he can't sit on his own still so many wrap options are not yet possible for us.
