Trading as a FTE: Risk or Stupidity ?

Hi folks. Hope everyone is trading good and being well. This query is regarding a life choice dilemma that I am facing. So the situation is something like this:

  1. I am moving to the USA for few years (5-6 probably and Not H1B visa)
  2. I have to leave my current job in India and restart with the employment journey in US
  3. But as far as my will goes I want to move to full time trading/investing as a means of survival.
  4. This is primarily because this is my future goal of being self employed rather than wasting time in an office for some other folks’ work
  5. I am from a tier-1 college (both my tech and MBA degrees)
  6. From a trading journey standpoint I currently trade in Indian markets. Made some profit but current objective is to define a good trading system rather than trading on feel and guts.

So here is what I want a genuine answer from the community. Valid for people who have made a move to a foreign market and folks who have started from scratch and are making a living out of it:

  1. Should I leave this dream of hustling to be a full time trader and search a job which will be equally difficult
  2. The problem with searching for a job will take a considerable amount of time because of which the much needed attention to the trading journey will not be possible.

Doing things parallelly will not make anything worth it. Wanted 2 cents from the community on this. I am not sure if this is the right thread but people are right hence asked the same.

Please don’t ban me if this is not expected out of this sub. 🙏

Laptop GPU short: Can it be fixed?

Hi, I have a helios predator with rtx 4070. I tweaked a bit with Intel power utility and applied liquid metal to reduce thermal throttling. There was a power fluctuation and the laptop was plugged in. When I switched on the laptop the next time the NVIDIA GPU was not being shown. I asked a repair guy he directly mentioned motherboard needs to be changed. But the laptop is working now on integrated GPU. I am probably guessing that there was a short in the GPU component. Can this is resoldered/reballed and fixed ? Or I can leave hope.
