Home Pro Ceiling Fan Installation experience
We are in Phuket. We have bought three ceiling fans from Home Pro including the installation service, two were installed okay, one has problem with making some noise , subtle but annoying if it is a home office. Because when they finished installation, we can't hear it, so until a week later we call the technician and ask them to come again to fix it. The technician came, can't fix it and say this is motor problem and the sales will call me.
Waiting for a week, no one called, so on Friday 5 June I complain on the hotline because only those who handle the call in Bangkok will care about expats. He said he will check what happens and will come back to me on Monday. However local Phuket Homepro called and said they can come on Sunday (7 June).
When they come, no motor, only an electric screwdriver and they aren't even the technicians we saw before. They didn't even bring their own ladder.
They don't know what happened, they cannot fix it and they tested taking the casing off and say maybe it's the casing hitting the motor sound etc. At first they don't even know how to put the casing back on, after tinker it for a bit and then they plan to ask technician to come fix it, leaving the state as is.
We insist they put it back to the state before they come, they don't speak English so we have been using google translate all along. They just say , cannot put it back, they don't know how to. Then one of them try again and keep twisting and suddenly the casing is back up.
TL:TR : It is pure luck if HomePro installation person know what they are doing. I know this post will attracting trolls to come say this is the Thai way or live with this.
We know, just want to share frustration and share with fellow expat that you are not along if things don't work out here.
