I came across a post that shows how much hours the average person in different countries in Africa should work in order to afford preordering GTA 6. I saw how most east African countries need to work 45-60 hours to afford the game but for Ethiopia it shows that the average person need to work about 400 hrs 💀

For context the average monthly salary in eth is about 12000 birr which is about 74 dollars…so if someone wants to preorder the game they’d need to spend about all their monthly salary. This is very alarming. Our neighbouring country such as Somali and even Eritrea have a much more higher average monthly salary compared to Ethiopia’s.Then there’s also the fact that minimum wage doesn’t exist in Ethiopia which like sounds very strange

Ever since inflation kept rising and the currency got devalued I don’t think the government has made much changes to the people’s salary. Like the average salary needs to increase so ppl can keep up with inflation and the birr getting devalued. I know people are feed up based on what they say on this matter on the internet but I don’t see any protest and I really feel like if there was then the gov might at least make an effort to fix things up for a change

If ethiopians are so against the Somalis invading Ogaden and taking it back(bc remember,this part of Ethiopia used to belong to them before it was taken from them)then why do some want Eritrea to be part of Ethiopia again or gain access to the sea through the means of gaining back asab and making it part of Ethiopia.isn’t this the same thing the Somalis want but with Ogaden.Or is it different bc I’m not really educated on this whole topic but it does interest me

Is it realistically possible for the government to reduce inflation,regional conflicts and tribalism. If so then isn’t it safe to say that the current administration isn’t trying hard enough to fix these 3 essential issues that’s currently degrading Ethiopia’s quality of life?I will admit that im impressed with how developed infrastructures have become and how a lot of jobs have been created due to this and how a new big airport in bishoftu will increase the amount of jobs available even more however isn’t the unemployment rate worse than it used to be 5-10 years ago?
