finally addressing the elephant in the room

Lethe River is literally the enigmata river🪼, I hope they finally explain Mythus involvement in Planarcadia and his relationship with Aha, the last time Oroboros was seen, it was swimming in a red sea (Enigmata).

It's just a trick of words.

Aha is such a troll lmao, Becoming the Aeon of elation permanently means becoming one of Aha's masks. They are not a single entity, they are composed of masks, Becoming them permanently means becoming the 8th mask

a crazy/crack theory of mine about history fictionologists and enigmata

The History Fictionologists are described as Emanators enlightened by Aeons, but their actions suggest they are not merely followers of Mythus, but survivors of other Paths. This posits that they are "Path Strays" who realized that the power granted by an Aeon is actually a cosmic shackle.

. Gallagher’s Insight: Paths as Curses
During the Penacony arc, Gallagher (himself a "fiction" constructed by a History Fictionologist) offers a cynical view of the universe. He suggests that Paths are essentially curses once you step onto one, your destiny is narrowed, and you are forced to act according to the Aeon’s will until you lose your "self."

The Connection: If Paths are curses, then being an Emanator is the ultimate stage of that curse. To a History Fictionologist, an Emanator of the Preservation or the Hunt is a prisoner of a "sad and rigid path," unable to deviate from their programmed intent.

. The Great Defection
This suggests that many History Fictionologists were once high ranking Emanators of Paths like The Erudition or The Order, etc...
• Having reached the peak of "Objectivity" or "Logic," they saw the end of the road: a universe where everything is calculated, predictable, and therefore, dead.
• To "save the worlds," they betrayed their original Aeons. They didn't just change jobs, they became "Path Traitors" who embraced The Enigmata specifically to break the "curse" of their previous certainty.

. Fabricating the "Unseen" to Break the Curse
If a civilization knows its history perfectly, its future is "doomed" because it will always follow the same trajectory. By using their power to "fabricate, obscure, and erase", these renegade Emanators are performing a cosmic surgery.
• By injecting "Enigmata" (Mystery) into a world's timeline, they are effectively lifting the curse of the Path.
• They create a "fog" that allows a civilization to step off the pre determined rails and find a "new possibility" that even the Aeons couldn't predict.

The Price of Freedom
This explains why they travel alone. To be a History Fictionologist is to live as a ghost. Like Gallagher who is a patchwork of 52 different people they have given up their original identities (their "original Paths") to become a mystery. They believe that only in the unknown can true free will exist.

The History Fictionologists are "enlightened" because they saw the "truth" of the Aeons and found it suffocating. They follow Mythus not out of simple worship, but because The Enigmata is the only "Path" that allows them to fight back against the rigidity of the universe, turning a "sad, rigid path" into a sea of infinite uncertainty .

nihilux?

That one on the billboard is probably Nihilux; she appears in several trailers observing, and she has her "natural" hair that's underneath the white.
