I just finished main story on BG1 for the first time about a week ago and I'm considering doing an Evil character on Legacy of Baal next. Any tips or advice on what I should expect going in? I was hoping to play a mage of some sort since in my other playthrough I was a fighter but that's about all I've got planned out right now.
Ok, so we were making the trip back to the ruins of Valaki (earlier they failed to stop Strahd when he attacked the town), and we were talking about the previous trip to the Amber temple. One party member took a dark gift of resurrection, ultimately succumbing to the dark powers and effectively sacrificing himself to save another character. Cut to now, after they've been fighting to repair the holy bones of Saint Markovia's magic and they had an unhinged idea.
They asked if the dark gift of resurrection could revive Markovia, and by the logic, the silver dragon Argynvost if they found it's bones. They can't get the gift again due to events they did at the temple but we proceeded to learn that in theory, yes, they could have done this due to the modified rules on that resurrection. Now we're all imagining the party pulling up on castle ravenloft with Mordenkainen, Saint Markovia, and a literal dragon to jump Strahd and I love how insane that sounds (I am also very happy they can not actually do it).
