The missing link (brick): regular Lego -> Duplo -> Quatro -> Otto(?) -> 16x storage brick

Got a storage brick a few weeks back and after finding out it was (approximately) 16x the size of regular Lego I went on a mission to create the missing size and stack them all up. The Quatro brick is also 3D printed since I don't actually have any of those heh (they were only made for a couple of years in the mid 2000s).

1987 Tamiya Hotshot II - found at the curb covered in years of dust

Haven't dabbled in RC cars in 25 years but came across this unit in a pile of stuff by the curb with a "free" sign on it. Didn't know if it would be capable of resurrection but after a good cleaning and a new battery it powered up and runs! Also had to pull apart the remote control to fix a seized up potentiometer on the throttle trigger.

Unfortunately the plastics are quite brittle after 39 years so it's quite fragile and I've already had to replace the rear control arms with 3d printed versions. I imagine any good bump or minor crash will cause something to fail at this point.

Pretty cool little car and I've enjoyed reading up on it the last few days.
