Stay away from e6000!

Was told I can use this stuff in place of shoe goo cause I didn’t have any handy it ate right thru my paint and made a little problem much worse! Just don’t look at it too close I guess lessons learned! For info I did use Tamiya ps spray cans for this paint.

Project DIY Widebody Lunchbox

It's starting to take shape. No idea if it will hold any of the paint though. Nothing like a coat of grey primer to reveal all your sins

Trying to track down slipper clutch and part numbers for wheel adapters doe the Durga db01.

From what I can tell the fronts are 5mm hex and the rear are pins?

It's been quite hard finding hop,-ups or information on what part numbers I need.

Not worried about if it's Tamiya or not. I can also 3d print if that's possible, using petg or strong filament but there are no stl files anywhere for the db01/durga.

Tempted by the BBX as my first build

https://preview.redd.it/lpj6023by1kh1.png?width=1286&format=png&auto=webp&s=0f2f7b6590bcd76d0cd7af1c11af4f5e9da4249a

At first I wanted the Monster Beetle or Blackfoot, also considered the Hot Shot II but from what I've read the BBX has so many modern upgrades which pretty much makes it the best Tamiya RC car money can buy (except for the Avante).

I've also read that the BBX is a fairly difficult build and better as a 2nd or 3rd build but I doubt my wife will let me buy 2 or 3 of these...

Tamiya 1/35 King Tiger – Should the rear idler wheel touch the last road wheel?

Hello everyone,

I’m currently building Tamiya’s 1/35 German King Tiger (Tiger II), and I noticed something that I’m not sure is correct.

As you can see in the pictures, the rear idler wheel on the right side does not touch/overlap the last road wheel, while on the left side the idler wheel does touch the last road wheel.

I’ve double-checked the instructions and I’m quite sure I didn’t make any assembly mistakes. I’ve also noticed that other people seem to have a similar difference on their builds.

So, is this actually normal for the King Tiger, or is there something wrong with my model/assembly?

I’d really appreciate it if anyone with experience with this kit or the real Tiger II could clarify this for me.

Thanks!

Old M02 getting some love

Got this old M02 from Japan and slowly working through replacing cracked and damaged parts with 3D printed asa pieces I've been working on in tinkercad.

Eventually want to get the entire thing done fully in tinkercad and chuck it up on thingiverse as a open source project for people.

Even custom middle chassis that can take square shorty lipos eventually (still need to work on eyeballing the sway bar mount locations)

Will still need tamiya metal hardware and shocks but I want even the transmission gears to be able to be 3D printed and still take the factory amount and size of bearings and a cutting jig for the shafts needed for the gearbox ( the diff is the same parts as the m03)

Tires on this are custom f104 wheel rim combo cause they've been sitting in a box

Yeah racing wishbone bent

This is what happens to the wishbones when the lower damper mounts touch the street. This is just a reminder that aluminium doesn't endure everything.

What to get?

Obviously tamiya RC cars only come with motors. Do I have to go and buy individual parts? I bought the discontinued electronic kit off of eBay, but I was looking at tamiyas website and I couldn’t find any real remotes and just parts to buy. Where do yal get parts?
