My First Tamiya BB01 BBX Build!

So here is my take on the Tamiya BBX. If anyone knows my builds I like to be different and mostly none box art so I went with the Blockhead motors theme. Just waiting for my spare wheel to get here. Still not sure if I want to go brushless or brushed although I did install the slipper clutch just in case. This has to be one of the fasted builds I have ever done but it was fun and I think it came out ok.

I finally got my hands on a original vintage Tamiya Lancia Rally 58040

As a kid I have been wanting one of these cars so when I found a kit I just had to have it. I remember seeing them in the Tamiya magazines and I just fell in love with the look of it. It's up there in my favorites with the Tamiya King Cab and everyone who knows me know I love the King Cab. Now I know some people don't like that Tamiya put the body on a ORV chassis but I think that's what makes it so unique and cool looking. At first I was going to keep it in the box but I told myself I need to build this one so that's what I did and I have no regrets!

My First Tamiya Monster Beetle Build. Blockhead Motors Edition! ❤️🤍💙

I was going to go box art but instead I went with the famous Japan Blockhead Motors Monster Beetle theme. This build took me weeks to finish and was a bit challenging especially painting the checkered flag roof. Finding the right paint for the chassis was also a challenge as there are absolutely no tutorials or info online. Instead of the standard gold wheels I went with a set of vintage JPS aluminum wheels and Proline tires. I think it turned out pretty nice. Just waiting for the MIP diff to arrive and get some running videos.
