Just picked up a Losi Hammer Rey on trade and was wanting to build it out in a trail truck style. Always wanted to do a proper IFS and trail arm build, might do a custom body on it as well but time will tell. What are some mods/upgrades that would help with the vision!? Thanks in advance!!
Just got MIP drivers, plus an electric screwdriver by Wiha.
Whats everyone's thoughts and experiences with MIP?
Overrated? Over priced? Dogs bollocks?
EDIT: Just wanted to say. I'm not new to the hobby or to tools in general (worked as a mechanic, welder blah blah). But MIP seems like the snap on of the RC world. I've compared the tolerances between MIP, Wera and Wiha. its clear by feel alone that MIP has a tighter fit, sharper corners etc. Thats surprising as Wera is known for good tolerances. But actually I started to chew the heads on some fastners when building my VS4-10. Soon as I saw that, I thought "fuck it. I'll get MIP". I'll use them tomorrow and see how good they really are. Definitely nice handles and surprising light weight
The last time I let someone drive my car they went full speed into a curb and destroyed the front end. Today, a complete stranger caught my car on fire. You’d think I’d be upset about that but I thought it was a cool send off (I just bought a new car an hour before this). And actually, I’m quite pleased with them because they caught it all on camera 🔥
I've taken the wheels off my Maverick Microbe sct and put them on the micro-T. They are so much fun to bash around with and take off jumps. They are a bit larger so I added 5mm spacers from a Chinese website on the wheels to keep the car from rolling over. I think 3mm would have been sufficient, but this stance reminds me of my Big Rock!
I think it could still use some better shocks, but there's less bounce with the bigger wheels, and I want to try a bigger brushed motor for (hopefully) better acceleration, but that's probably it for my little, winter house basher since I don't want to throw off the weight balance too much by adding metal.
This thing is way too much fun.

I grabbed 2 of the T’s last Xmas for me and my kid and they are an absolute blast to fling around when you don’t have a ton of space for bashing/racing. They come complete with battery and charger so are fully ready to run out of the box. They’re awesome, and it’s a great time to grab one to play with or put back for a Xmas gift.

Im trying to make an RC controlled oo-gauge breakdown crane where all the electronics, battery and at least 1 motor have to live in the same 40x35x35mm cab. I've done all the research I can alone, but do people think this would work? I need 3 motors driven, so finicky work getting 2 H drivers on there for a fat fingered solderer, but with a spare board or two I think I could manage

Points of note:
- Battery pads will be soldered to lipo and routed through DRV8833 HDrivers. Will the H drivers drain the battery when not in use (AKA Where would I put the power switch, surely I I break the ground/live it wont charge when 'powered off' or is that just the sacrifice Im making to make it this small)
- Planning to drive this off a phone to reduce price/building of a reciever, whats the best software to load of custom code on a iPhone/android (cross compatibility would be grand in case someone else wants to play with it)
- Is there just a premade package that just already does this, I tried buying a tiny RC digger that nearly had the three motor outputs, but two of the motors are driven together and seem, hardcoded into the board

The sct forces discipline on throttle and man is it fun but hard to control sometimes.
The truggy loves the stay planted and turns so well in the corners.

I ordered some cars from Rlaarlo’s website to have shipped to Australia. I paid extra for expedited shipping hoping to have them before the long weekend. That’s gone, pity.
I am a bit worried now as it has been awaiting shipping since 30th Sept. No response from contact us either.
Is this normal? Should I take some action from the Bank side?

My older son is into gunpla so we visit our local hobby shop often. My younger son has no interest so usually goes off and looks at the RC cars. He's been bugging me for a Lunch Box for months so decided to pick him up one for his 6th birthday. We had a blast building and painting it, but driving it brought this kind of giddy joy I hadn’t experienced since I was a kid. Being 6 years old, my kid was excited for his birthday present and understandably wasn’t ready to let me play with it as much as I wanted, so I had to get my own. I decided to get myself the Evo with a Sport Tuned can, because I gotta right? 2 days later, both cars are full of road rash and we’re having a blast. What a great hobby.
Haven't had the WR8 out in a while, so I did a few wide open throttle pulls with the new GPS map running in the dash. Audio is on, the engine sounds great through the OpenIPC RunCam 2.
The map needs no WiFi. You can change the map layers and color styles (not just satellite imagery) and adjust the zoom level, which is nice if you care about scale details.

I’d like to choose “the best” esc for my Xray X8. Car will be used for competitive onroad races.
What is your opinion on the Elceram ELC030 Nitride 1/8 G1 Competition 2800Kv esc?
I read a lot of good things about this esc, including efficiency (more runtime than an comparable XR8 Pro) and smooth throttle control. The brake funtionality and settings should be also better or more refined.
What is true and what isn’t? The price is crazy but maybe worth it.
The second option would be the XR8 PRO G3.
What are you guys running / have you had any experience with Elcram ESCs?
Motorwise, there will be the 2000kv Hobbywing 4268 SD G3, of course in sensored mode.
Hi everyone,
I recently dug out my old CEN Fun Factor Mini Cooper 4WD Nitro from the early 2000s.
I bought it new back then and have owned it ever since. It was only driven about 10 times and is still in very original condition. I still have the original box, original CEN Impact II radio, NT-16 engine and the original John Cooper Challenge / Tony Franks Mini body.
The car was fully functional the last time I used it, approximately 8 years ago, and has been stored since then. I haven't tried to start it again yet, so I can't confirm its current running condition. The only known issue from when it was last used is one broken chassis mount.
I don't really know much about the vintage RC market. Searching online, I can find plenty of old CEN cars and parts, but surprisingly little about this particular Mini Cooper version.
Is there actually a collector's market for something like this today? And if I decided to sell it, where would be the best place to offer it?
eBay? Vintage RC forums/groups? Somewhere more specialized?
I'm located in Austria.
I'd also be interested to hear from anyone who remembers these or still owns one.
