Online Rlaarlo Order

Hey all,

I ordered some cars from Rlaarlo’s website to have shipped to Australia. I paid extra for expedited shipping hoping to have them before the long weekend. That’s gone, pity.

I am a bit worried now as it has been awaiting shipping since 30th Sept. No response from contact us either.

Is this normal? Should I take some action from the Bank side?

Thanks.

Everyday work and casual attire

Hey all. I wanted to learn a bit more about how everyday aussie go about with their attire. Compared to Americas and certainly SA and SEA i have felt aussies are more functional than being optical. I have never seen dressed up offices unless it is exclusively executive function or marketing. Almost all the research events I attended were quite chill, shorts and Ts and occasionally thongs too. I may have worn my suite just twice (graduation and citizenship ceremony).

Now I am down in NZ and it is a culture shock. Everyone seems to be dressed up. And certainly they cant all be execs running around? So many duty free like shops (Rolex, Cartier, etc). Very rarely a bloke of my age in a hoodie. I was probably the only one in a sneaker and most people wore Chelsea boots.

Why this might be the case? How are you dressing up for work?

For me it is a good polo and a Levi and I am well dressed for my work. Very rarely I see my boas dressing up, and that is likely when they have board meetings.

Role or anxiety and stress

Hey all. I have health anxiety and have been seeing my GP every 3 months. Would freak out seeing a birthmark, google for days and would run to my GP for a skin check.

I also love being stressed by work, I have been skipping lunch for last 4 months working on “interesting problems”. This made me really hangry and weak at nights I started having lunch. This messed up my pooping pattern (pooping and having to fart during the day), which stressed me thinking colon issues, leaking gut or hernia.

Now I strained my abs lifting baby and house work. I have been pressing, investigating and googling symptoms. I am back in the anxiety cycle. Cant see doc for 7 days as I am away from home. I dont see any pooping changes but my anxiety keeps my stomach noisy at night. I am also having a heart burn. Scared to poop worrying I might see blood (this hasnt happened, yet).

Has anybody had relief from anxiety management? How is that even possible to be not anxious about things?

Role of AI in SME

Hey folks. Keen to hear from you who work in SMEs. Especially in teams of 2-5 engineers.

SME I aim here are mature but medium scale companies with 20-40 people with some level if overseas presence.

I know large corps are axing people at a rate. My experience with SMEs is AI has sped up workflows like crazy and software is iterating in short cycles with lot of test burden.

Sure as hell there wont be more man power put in, but it is hard to imagine cutting down people either. Having just one man is way too risky in a business perspective. Or is that a thing now?

Has anyone reached a point where they represent the entire Software team? Or a one man HR/PR team? It feels way too risky but cannot completely eliminate the possibility of that.

What challenges have raised as a result of trying expand with constant head count? Also apart of adopting AI what do you do to gain growth and justify stepping up?

Thanks

Isn’t jaywalking illegal?

Witnessed a heated conversation between a woman with kids and a man in a car. Woman got shook by the man trying to parallel park because she was crossing the road from the road. From that location. It was not a near miss or anything. Just people being stubborn.

Crossing was literally 10 foot away and would have been a 1 min wait. Not a school zone or anything either.

I get the folks on foot have more rights and would have been drivers fault.

In US theres a good chance of death on busy intersections if not waited for the green hand.

I remember the days when office managers (operating officers) optimising chairs, computers and environments to boost productivity. We even use to have table tennis rooms to wind down.

But now, even spending 5k on a decent Mac seems to be hard. It seems spending more time doing less work or taking longer smoke breaks due to flat ass chars seems the norm.

It will take however long it will need seems to be acceptable. I remember “come to office so higher ups see you” seems to be a thing too.

How does everyone manage productivity expenditure and convince on better monitors and laptops to finance? 😃

Could be a Monday thing.
