My LGS has a BNIB KP9 for considerably less than the current Gunbroker scalpers. They won't let me disassemble to check out if the firing pin is the old or new one. Is there a way to tell based on serial number?

I want to spray paint my adapters to be similar in color to Q's Cherry Bomb/Plan B adapters. Has anyone found something to replicate them?
