Short stories with resolution

I really want to get into short stories because the novels I've been reading lately just aren't holding my attention and I've been DNF-ing a lot. Buttttt it seems like most short stories have ambiguous open-ended finishes...lie you turn the page and go "wait that's it?" I'm wondering if anyone could recommend a collection of short stories where at least most of them have true resolution and read as a complete story not just a tantalizing slice of someone's life that leaves you hanging. I realize that all the stories in a collection won't be set up the same way but maybe there's an author who's known for that style? Maybe like Stephen King's short stories (but I've read them all). Thank you!

Non-fiction experience/memoirs

Any really good books you've read about experiencing something devastating? Like the Wave, the one by Susan Klebold...it can be a disease, nature/animal attack, losing someone...just no politics please like first they killed my father etc

Where everything goes wrong

I'm looking for humorous fiction filled with a series of mishaps that make me feel glad to be me cozy and curled up with a book instead of the protagonist. Maybe some ridiculous situations or workplace absurdities. Everyday life and it's misunderstandings similar to the shows Curb your Enthusiasm or Seinfeld. Nothing too heavy...not looking for an MC who is truly miserable just one where you chuckle at their predicament while simultaneously rooting for them. Books I've liked in this vein:

Fleishmans in Trouble, A Spot of Bother, The Bee Sting.

I like David Sedaris's type of humor. And I've already tried Confederacy of Dunces and Lucky Jim(could not get into them) and I've read Odessa M's books and Where'd you go, Bernadette. Thank you so much!!

Something like Black Mirror

Any suggestions for a show along the lines of BM... different concepts that make u think and imagine. I'm not really into space/monsters/aliens/other planets but I think most other things intrigue me 😊 Thank you! Any streaming platform works.
