I’m going on a break soon and I’m finding it really hard to find something worth watching. My biggest problem is that I need to get hooked immediately or I’ll get bored and stop watching.
Some of the TV series I’ve really enjoyed include Brooklyn Nine Nine, Criminal Minds, Mindhunter, Homeland, Bones, The Pitt, HIMYM, Gilmore Girls, Reign, and Teen Wolf.
Looking for feel good shows, nothing serious or focus-requiring, preferably post 2015 and in English (American or UK)...
I am looking for any shows that have themes adjacent to Thriller, Fantasy, Supernatural, Mystery, Action etc. I only care about 2 things:
The show reached it's proper conclusion, it wasn't cancelled or cut short.
It had a good ending. It has to be a proper ending that ties up all the loose ends, give proper conclusions to all storylines/characters, isn't super rushed (It can be a rushed ending as long as the rest of the show is good and the ending does a decent enough job of tying everything up.).
This is coming from someone who has experienced too many shows just slowly degrade in quality and the final season being so bad it fucks everything up and ruins the whole show. Thank you.
Looking for brilliant minds either fucking up, doing mundane things, and/or in blue collar, working man jobs. Humor is a bonus.
Clarke Griffin is one of my favorite TV protagonists because she constantly makes impossible choices without being purely heroic or villainous. Looking for shows with similarly complex female leads.

I pick Widow’s Bay. Love the setting on the island, has interesting characters, good writing, and has some decent scares and mysteries.
We have Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, and PBS Passport. I also stream a few shows on CBS, for free. (Note: This only works with current CBS shows).
My two half-sisters are coming to stay with me and my girlfriend for a while. (Our mother is severely injured, and will probably be in the hospital for several months. It’s very tragic, but at least she’s still alive.) They are used to Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video (both of which we have), and Network TV (which we don’t have.) The Boys finished today and I really loved the show despite its flaws particularly in later seasons
One thing that stood out was how gory and "unhinged", it was meaning not afraid to go over the top (blood, sex whatever) and take risks by killing characters off suddenly
So i'm requesting shows similar to this that basically just don't play it safe

I’m stuck at home recovering from an injury. I’m looking for shows I can binge that are immersive, not so much light and comedic, but I don’t want anything that’s suspenseful and cliffhanger-y from episode to episode, that has an overarching storyline for the whole series or season. I don’t mind character and background storyline continuity, just not sustained narrative or plotline episode-to-episode suspense and stress, if that makes sense. Eg, I’m looking for something less like Black Sails (as good as it is) and more like The Pitt! Any ideas?
Finding TV shows that is compelling and exciting that does not depicting suicide or things like hanging is so difficult, which we are not interested to watch for reasons..
