Mystery TV Series recommendations

I am looking for fun mystery series with a cozy small town vibe, similar to Blurbs and Widow's Bay. I am not interested in older shows (from the '90s or early 2000s) or anything with a dark, gritty plot.

I have already watched A Man on the InsideThe BoroughsStranger ThingsThe AfterpartyThe ResidentOnly Murders in the BuildingThe Thursday Murder ClubA Good Girl's Guide to Murder, and similar shows. I would love recommendations with the same lighthearted, quirky mystery feel.

Looking for show recommendations similar to Carnival Row (Dark Fantasy / Victorian Noir)

Hi everyone! I recently finished Carnival Row on Prime Video and absolutely loved its unique vibe.
I am looking for TV series recommendations that share a similar high production quality, dark fantasy elements, and a gritty Victorian/steampunk aesthetic. I also really enjoyed the murder-mystery/detective plotline mixed with mythical creatures.
I currently have access only to Prime Video and Disney+, so I would highly appreciate recommendations available on these platforms.
What are some shows with a similar atmosphere and storytelling style that I should check out next? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Looking For TV Recs for my wife and I to watch.

Hi all!

I’m actively looking for a tv show that my wife and I can watch together. I’m terrible at watching tv, but I have seen the “greats”(Breaking Bag, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Ted Lasso, The Office, etc.) So when it comes to tv shows
I’m pretty casual about it. I tend to follow the herd and watch something once there’s huge buzz. (Except Halt and Catch Fire, I LOVE that show)
My wife has seen a whole lot more tv shows than me. I’m looking for something that maybe she hasn’t seen that she would like. She loves Off Campus, Bridgerton, Virgin River, and also really liked Emily in Paris as well as The Vampire Diaries.

What’s an underrated tv show that maybe she hasn’t seen, that is engaging enough that I might like it as well? Every time I found something we could watch she’s already seen it, or at least started it and wasn’t a fan. Any and all ideas welcome.

Thank!

I wanna get locked into a binge-worthy series

I’m on the hunt for a new series that can suck me in, by the characters, story, emotions, and the world.

Series I’ve loved and/or rewatched many times:

The Last Kingdom

Game of Thrones

Jane the Virgin

You

The Empress

Bridgerton

This is Us

From scratch

Stranger things

Outlander (the first 4 seasons)

Dead to me

Who killed Sara

Untamed

Nobody wants this

Afterlife

Clearly I like time pieces and dramas/romance/comedy. Please share your recs if you’ve like similar shows to these!

Transport me to another land

I’m looking for a show that takes me to another land, where the location feels like a vital part of the show, where I see landscapes or views that make me want to go there someday. Looking forward to your answers!

Serie recommendation for Summer ?

Heya ! My friends are not avalable these summer days and I will stay at home mostly because of the weather …

I need a serie/TV show to watch until at least 21st of July (not including House of Dragon and I’m taking a lil break from The Sopranos).

Criteria : most and foremost of good quality, available on Prime video, HBO Max or Netflix if possible (I’m based in France) with at least 2 or 3 seasons.

I’ve been watching TV shows for 15 years now, here is my personal top 10 (just so you can know my own tastes) :

The Office, GOT, Malcolm, Breaking Bad, South Park, The Sopranos, Trailer Park Boys, The Boys, True Detective (mostly for S1), Slow Horses.

Apart from that, I already saw/don’t want rewatch yet :
Invincible, TLOU, a knight of seven kingdoms, The Penguin, Task, Peacemaker, Chernobyl, TWD, Fargo, Gen V, Fallout, Fullmetal Alchemist, Community, Misfits, I know this much is true, Attack on Titans, Death note, Brooklyn 99, Better Call Saul, Black Mirror, Bojack Horseman, Alice in Borderland, Monster (anime) Dexter ; don’t want see yet The Wire, Berserk, Mindhunter.

If I don’t have any idea I will surely watch again either The Man in the high castle or Game of Thrones … Madmen seems fine but not sure I’ll like it and not available among the 3 platforms previously mentioned.

Anyway : what should I watch ? Do Your best thaaanks.

*Bonus, personal top 10 Movies* :
Mommy, Fight Club, The Dark Knight, Heat, Drive, Her, Goodfellas, Prisoners, Good Time, There Will be blood.

*Edit : Thanks everyoneeee for all these recommendations!

Didn’t expect so many thoughtful replies :)

After reading through everything, top 5 shows that caught my attention the most :

• Sons of Anarchy – sounds really interesting, a bit of The Sopranos, which definitely got my attention …

• Ozark, watched the first season when it originally came out but never continued. I’m a bit more mature now, so I might appreciate it much more.

• Succession, By far the most frequently and logically (?) recommended. I’ve heard great things about it for years, and it seems like it fits my taste really well … Maybe I will watch this with my best friend ´cause he seemed interested too.

• Banshee, I’m intrigued, especially since I loved Antony Starr in The Boys.

• The Leftovers – I know it’s supposed to be incredible, but I’m not so sure being in the right mood for it this summer. It’s definitely staying on my watchlist tho.

(HM : Gomorrah, The Expanse, It’s always Sunny in Philadelphia)

Thanks again to everyone who took the time to help!

I’ll choose one from these tomorrow, depending on my mood, and another after that … Until Summer is over I guess 😅 (Summer holidays are 2 months long but I Will just have 2 weeks off)*

Tv show that end on a high note

Recently I started watching tv shows instead of reading books during my travel and been hooked but, I have been disappointed with various shows with extremely bad endings (like Stranger things, Game of Thrones, The boys).

I'm looking for shows that stay consistently great and end on a genuinely satisfying note as i so done w this in general in life,

Doesn't necessarily have to be a happy ending, just one that feels earned and doesn't ruin everything that came before it
