Anything I could watch thats like these? The shows I've managed to complete in full , any recommendations appreciated

Hey, I've found it hard to engage in TV for a good while, and would like to get back into it but due to low attention span/ thinking alot of TV is not my taste, I was wondering if, based on what I've managed to get through completely in the past and enjoyed/thouroughly enjoyed, if anyone might be able to suggest anything else i could start. If not, no worries!

BoJack Horseman (5 stars for me, rewatched, amazing)

Fleabag ( 5 stars)

The Flight Attendant (3.5, love a troubled protagonist with alcoholism as an issue)

Yellow Jackets (3.5, like the Lord of The Flies vibes and how it makes me what to look at psychological breakdowns of characters, and morally grey characters pushed by circumstances)

Bob's Burgers ( is kind of an outlier in the sense it was a comfort show through struggling with burnout and I liked how the Burger family loved each other unconditionally)

Ugly Betty (good drama about ambition, and made me emotional once so i rate it for that)

Desperate Housewives ( watched when i was much younger but liked the darker plotlines and Brees masking)

Schitts Creek (lovely wholesome show thats full of acceptance and made me cry twice)

The End if the F*****g World (just good dry humour and dark)

Edit: Thanks to another commentor i remembered i also LOVE: Kevin Can F**k Himself (amazingly underrated and nuanced enough to warrant multiple rewatches with a morally grey main character and showcasing the wavering road to a tyoe of survival even if its dark, and everything and everyone in between

Long story short (makers of BoJack, nuce story, good enough that the fans of BJ will watch just because, like i did, but in the meantime learned something about the culture, life, and family dynamics of an American Jewish family and the aftermath of their childhood in a very beautiful and interesting way)

Has anyone else read this yet?

It's been controversial everywhere for obvious reasons, but I love an aggressively transgressive book, especially with a female protag. It's been one of my “favourite” books in the sense that it made me feel genuinely interested and uncomfortable because of the premise. The overarching message stayed with me personally as a law school graduate and I still think about it today, althoug uph I read it two years ago.

So I suppose I'm saying, has anyone else read it and know what I mean when I say I enjoyed it for what it was?

No good genuine discource on it anywhere

Like, it gives portrayal of a female predator , the psychological dissociation and disconnect between someone being driven by pure pleasure while completely failing to comprehend the lifelong terror and consequences they're inflicting on someone else , ive never seen anything else like it . That contrast was honestly what stuck with me most. Is it weird girl or am i just weird ? 😭

Ive just read The Last Mrs.Parrish by Liv Constantine.

I enjoyed it alot. Great nuance and pace for a thriIler and im new enough to thrillers, i usuallly read horror/gothic leaning literary fiction. I know i sound like such a newb and im sure its been answered before but , just for my own first hand authentic experience/reaction, was this premise not nearly identical to 'The Housemaid' by Freida Mcfadden? Like, wdf? The twist, and the POV's? Am i just insane ? And if im not, how is this level of copy/paste allowed ?

I gave up on November 10th of 2025 , I just wanted to for a while, I knew I was ruining myself with a combination of alcohol and smokes, I was sick of the anxiety and lack of control I felt , I was chain smoking every time I drank which was nearly daily in my worst period. So when I wanted to stop I made sure I stopped by stauing away from any and all triggers. It really helps. But when I go to my boyfriends parental home which is where he still lives, and I also still live with my family, well, his mom chain smokes and he smokes alot of weed, he leaves the room but it doesn't make much of a difference and my parents and brother vape constantly. Is this going to effect my lungs? I cant move out for a while yet, I just finished a degree and have to get work , and i totally understand that my boyfriends moms house is hers to smoke in, but I feel like my effort is kind of futile when everyone else is smoking around me, apparently second hand smoke is just as toxic?? Being more aware of it has only worsened my anxiety tbh. Doesnt help my rebound cravings, and I feel mean leaving the room when people smoke/vape , because i used to be exactly the same and now they look at me like im being awkward and 'fancy'. Anything I can do to avoid being rude anx socially awkward to everyone I know in order to avoid second hand smoke ?
