Anyone else has problems boiling tapioca pearls at home?

So ive made tapioca pearls 2 before. Randomly decided to purchase a bag of them cause i love boba and still using the same pack of boba sized white pearls that turn translucent when boiled. Now my problem is that most sources say to boil for 40 minutes, cool for 15 than your done right? Well i end up needing to boil and cool them over and over again before i can get rid of the starchy middle thats left over and tbh it just ends up being a lot of effort. Also i am woefully unaware of how much boba to add and end up making a ridiculous amount each time. Any suggestions?

Oh also has anyone tried the j-basket instant boba kit?

I really hate my "curly" hair

Every single time i do my curly hair routine it looks horrible. And ive always tried different products, and even let my hairdresser do it, and it still ends up looking like a train wreck.

My usual routine (regardless of products, tho the ones ive been using i will include) is that i use shampoo 2 (recently 3) times on my hair (for about a month or two been using cantu shea butter meant for naturall curls coils and waves) detangle it and than catch it with a claw clip. Than while my hair was still wet ( sometimes id need to add some water if i waited too much) and i used to (without brushing through it (im sorry i recently started not doing that i know its bad😭) id apply gel (i think since the beguinning ive only ever used wellaflex men with power definition 6) and than curl cream (which ive switched around a bit but for a while now its been Frizz ease dream curls) scrunched my hair to oblivion (i also applyed the products like this and pat the products into my hair while keeping my head upside down) and than diffusing my hair upside down(air drying takes WAYYYYY too long and leaves my hair like a birds nest but diffusing also takes over an hour). Now i was also recently told that using gel before curl cream was a big no no so i switched the steps to those two. I also sleep with a bonnet, which tbh helped a bit. My idea of a refresh routine is just scrunch in some water and pray tho i very rarely do this. Oh and i usually wash my hair every 3 days or try to stretch it a bit.

My issue is that ive used multiple different products, tried finger coiling (fell out immediately, so i permanently stuck to scrunching), and while my end results may look "okay" i always HATE how they look down, like the back looks horrible, whatever tf is the top part doing????, the root area lays so weird whilst the tips of my hair are turning into spirals and the top section of my hair lays really odd and flat ish while the bottom one are spiraling away. Even when ive went out with my hair down people would comment saying wtf is up with your hair and that it looks better in my regular half up half down style. Ive had my hair down to my waist before and cut up to my shoulders, this isnt a length problem. But i always have the same problems. I usually just get around them doing a half up half down hair style but its genuenly so annoying to not be able to just wear your hair down and i hate it so much. Ive tried diffusing it with no product and it also looks horrible. It dries like its tangled and i always have wet frizz. I genuenly just want to be able to go out the house with my hair down without spending 3 bussiness days perfecting my curls, that even styled manage to look like perfect rental space for my neighbourhood pigeons.

Even when i had my hair routine done by a professional, who simply applied on curl cream and diffused it upside down (idk how she managed to get the sections so small, tbh it looked kinda cute?) It went and had the audacity to fall out after a short amount of time and look like a poofy mess hiding some curls by the end of the day. I think maybe using gel too mightove been a solution?

I often lose a whole evening to hair care and still manage to have poor results and its genuenly made me feel less pretty and wish (on multiple occasions) that my hair was naturally straight.
