I’m a first-year PhD international student in the US who left a lab within the first year because of a toxic PI. Then I was picked by the program director for a rotation that might be permanent, but three weeks later, he asked me to leave because he thought I might not be a good fit and that my skills did not match his lab.
I feel devastated and depressed
