Finally did some work on the engine bay of my ‘76

Had a rad leak since I got the car last fall and finally got some time to swap it out and fix a couple other things.

Swapped out the rad, the water pump, fan clutch, some hoses, air filter, hood insulation, and spark plug wires. Topped it off with an oil change and it runs like a dream!

I’ve never worked on cars before so it was a great learning experience! This “should” hold me over till I swap the motor in a few years, hopefully!

New wheel!

I officially installed my first upgrade on my ‘76 C3 today.

It certainly didn’t all go to plan - and as a result, I learned about how to use a multimeter, the problems with grounding on a C3, and “don’t you dare lose that insignificant part you think doesn’t matter” (the bushing on the pin that contacts the old horn spring shot off and now allows that pin to play and randomly short out).

At least it’s pretty and the horn works sometimes (even when I’m just turning left or right and not pressing the horn) - SAFETY!

Now if I can get the new hub back off and repair the thing that’s currently causing the problem, we’d be off to the races- but alas the new hub doesn’t have holes big enough for my puller bolts at the moment. That’s a tomorrow problem.

And yes- I know it’s a C5 logo on the wheel now, leSad.
