last attempt to manage my ADHD

I have been trying to find medication to manage my ADHD for the past 2 years. I tried all the stimulants, long acting, short acting, you name it. They worked well for my ADHD but gave me anxiety and irritability, most noteably as they wore off. I also tried Strattera but that was less effective for the ADHD and probably gave me more anxiety. I told my psych that I'm giving up, and I'm just going to deal with the difficulty with focus and attention, as that seems easier to manage than anxiety. He suggested I try Wellbutrin as a last attempt. I am quite pessimistic, given my history with all the other drugs. Just wondering if anyone has had similar reactions to the other ADHD drugs and had a different experience with Wellbutrin.... looking for a bit of hope / encouragement to give it a go really
