Standard to advanced for Miss Daisy

Been a standard driver for about 7 years and I get no joy out of blue light driving. People often refer to me as driving like Miss daisy which doesn't bother me in the slightest as I'm yet to wrap a job car round a tree taking an unnecessary risk en route to a call to service.

I'm reluctantly doing my advanced course this year as a role requirement. I struggled a little with my standard course as I would often disagree with my instructor about the speed a corner could be taken or whether an overtake was on. I appreciate they are the expert but I had also been driving long enough to know exactly how quickly "I" could safely take a corner. That being said I passed my standard course and refresher without issue.

As someone who won't be taking risks behind the wheel and will always drive in a way that I am happy is safe, irrespective of the whinging coming from the passenger seat, how much am I going to struggle with advanced ?

Words of wisdom or reassurance greatly appreciated!
