Finally made it

New question for this group…

I’ve been grinding for 9+ years missing weddings, family events, etc. and finally just started at a legacy after a couple failed interviewed attempts.

Dragged my wife and family through it the whole way. I’m very lucky to have a supportive group of people behind me.

Did anyone do anything nice for their wife/parents who were in my situation?

My dad’s a legacy cap, in a good spot. My wife claims she needs nothing but god damn I couldn’t have done it with out my parents and wife.

My parents have the Rolex, cars, etc. my wife doesn’t. Anyone have ideas on cool things they did for people who got them there?

Legacy Interview Logbooks

I'm getting my logbook together for a legacy interview. I switched to a fully electronic logbook and stopped using the paper logbook about 2 years ago. I’m going to have my electronic logbook professionally printed. Does my paper logbook need to be fully updated with 2 years of flight time or should I label that logbook with years it was used, etc?
I'll have 3 logbooks for the interview:

  1. Student logbook with all endorsements.

  2. Logbook with instructor time and 2 years of airline flying.

  3. A professionally printed logbook that neatly encompasses all 8 years of flight experience.

Flies in my garage

Hello,

I’ve been at my house for just under a year. Last year we had a a couple days where swarms of flies got into our garage and just stayed on a window until they essentially died or got out.

Now with the heat and humidity coming back, we’re on day two of an infestation and they’re getting into the house.

Has anyone had this issue? I’m wondering if it’s temporary with the humidity coming back?

It’s definitely not from a dead animal or food. It’s water/humidity related. I don’t see any leaks of water in my garage. They seem to congregate by the windows and my irrigation pump.

TIA for helpful responses.
