Out of bounds touchscreen on DraStick

Is there a way to have it so if you move your finger outside the touchscreen square, the "drag" keeps going? It's very annoying to have it suddenly stop because I reached the edge with my finger.

What are those grayed parts for? As far as I can find Kotobukiya has no other kits from Knights of Sidonia.
