Took the new grendel to the gc today for the first time

Second grendel build:)

50 yds and 100 yds, faxon 16" barrel.

Looking to buy my first sword

Would love to get a functional xiphos replica of a hellenistic military sword used by appolonius the seleucid governor of samaria from 166 bce.

Having trouble finding a modern functional replica from a reliable maker.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Overtorched new upper.

I overtorched my new build when barreling the upper.

Is this something I can fix with a birchwood casey pen? Or would you recommend sending it out for reanodizing the coating?
