UofA index score?

Would any folks that have applied to UofA JD in the past be willing to comment on how accurate they think the index score formula on CanLawForum is?

TLDR: Index scores of 242 or above are mentioned as auto-admit territory in the past and the formula is (GPA on 4.0 scale * 22.5) + (LSAT score)

Unusual chances?

Hi all,

With a 6.2/9.0 GPA from UVic (2015)- which I think is 3.4/4.0 GPA, a publication in archival studies from 2015, a library technician diploma from 2025 with a 4.0/4.0 GPA, and a 168 LSAT, what are my chances for UBC, UVic, and UofA? Been a stay at home parent for the last six years (did my diploma in library tech and wrote the lsat while balancing having four kids under five, including twins) so don’t have the most recent “traditional softs” most candidates have. I’ve been on a local board for an NGO for the past four months if that counts. Lots of rural and remote living experience (partner’s job has taken us to some random places).

What’s the likelihood of getting an A from those 3 schools? What do you suspect is needed to do to boost chances of admission?
