Tips for new instructors (especially timing)

I just completed my Level 1 certification and I’m excited to start teaching! However, I feel like I definitely need to practice more first before auditioning at studios. What tips do you have for very new instructors? Anything you were taught to do/avoid? Anything specific to do before an audition apart from ofc practicing your routine? Any specific cues/cueing tips?

My big question now is timing. The studio I trained at uses a stop watch and I’m practicing and getting used to it more, but I still have two questions about timing:

  1. Do you just let your stopwatch run the whole time or reset it for every exercise/muscle group block? Id you let it run the whole class, how do you remember when you should switch to the next move? Eg. even if you know you’re doing an escalator lunge for 2 mins full range and then a static twist for 30 secs and then pulse for 30 secs, I think it’s be hard to remember all that if you start that exercise when the stopwatch is at 6:30 so you need to calculate that all in your head. Maybe my mental maths skills are just really bad haha but this seems so tough cuz I feel like in the middle of a class I could easily forget if I started that specific move at 6:30 or 6 or 5:30 and then not know how long is left.
  2. How do you remember routine and timing? For our certification we had to learn and teach a 15 min routine and I learned that and the timings for it, but if you’re teaching a new routine every day how do you do it? Like if you write it the night before, how do you remember if people are in a saw for eg 1 min or 1:30 min or what variations you have coming up? Do you write it down somewhere?

No access to Lagree Academy and L1 training coming up

Hi everyone! My L1 training is coming up in 6 days and I still don't have access to Lagree Academy. My Master Trainer emailed us a week ago telling us to set up our accounts soon as they can take 24-72 hours, but I (very!!) stupidly didn't see the line about the length of time it would take as it was the last line of the email and I was reading at work. I have set up my account yesterday, but it still has not been activated. Do you know if the weekend is included in these 24-72 hours? Is there somewhere else where I can look for Lagree resources?

I don't have any friends who are Lagree instructors so I can't use their accounts (I wish). I'm really kicking myself for not doing it sooner as I want to start watching videos, learning how to cue, learning all the exercises etc. I have been doing Lagree for a while so I'm familiar with a lot of these things, but I just really want to make the most out of my training and leave a good impression on the studio that is hosting it. My studio just sent an email saying they're expecting everyone has done this and are spending 2 hours a day studying, so don't want to email them or my MT now as it would leave a bad impression.

PS: Just wanted to check - when I now try to log into Lagree Academy, as soon as I put in my email and password the log in box just disappears and it shows the Lagree Academy front page again. I assume that is normal and will be working properly when my account is activated? (I've paid for my training, verified my email address and signed the T&Cs)
