How to cowboy camp no bugs? And other tips

I just got a new tent set up (Tarp Tent dipole dw with the inside removed) and I am now sleeping with no bug protection. I haven’t slept in the new setup yet but I am curious about bugs. How do I ensure that I don’t get creepy crawlers biting me or landing in my mouth. Seems silly but I’m worried about bugs eek!

EDIT: I removed the inside bc it saves 15oz.

Sleeping Pads (durability)

I currently have a nemo tensor regular wide (~1lb) and I love it when its comfortable. When it is filled up to a comfortable setting I have found it quite enjoyable to sleep on. After about 10 nights I ended up flat on the ground due to some leaks. I have tried to find the small holes, and I patched one so now it leaks slower, but I still wake up on the ground in the morning. Is this a common inflatable sleeping pad issue? I would like to own an inflatable sleeping pad that doesn't leak. Are there any UL sleeping pads that are known for their durability? Or will all pads end up leaking at some point?

I am able to send my tensor in to nemo for a warranty repair which is what I'm thinking about doing but if it is prone to leaking then I would like to replace it. Especially since I plan on doing the CT I don't want a leaky pad on a through hike.
