Cinnamon Scones-WHAT HAPPENED?

Cinnamon Scones-WHAT HAPPENED?

I have been a loyal Sprouts Scone supporter for the last 4 years. They literally carried me through my pregnancy. I went up grab some without even looking.. When I got home. I noticed two things… The price jumped $2 from 3.99 to 5.99, and they’re no longer the crumble scones with the icing on the top.. they’re now actually shaped like scones, but they’re entirely too flakey, similar to that of a biscuit.

I’m from the north and as someone who grew up on scones, while the old ones were a bit sweet and more cookie like, these new ones are giving me the vibe of a biscuit.

I spoke to the baker and she said they discontinued the old scones and sprouts started buying from an entirely new supplier.

Can anyone help me figure out a recipe to closely resemble the old, crumbly scones??? the new are just not doing it for me. I’ve literally ate them weekly for the last few years.. The month or two where they didn’t have any, I figured it was a shortage or the oven broke at the locations near me.

HELP! PLEASE!

Workout Schedule

Hey moms!

I have a 2 year old and me and my ex husband split our custody week on/week off. During the week when our child is with dad, I get up and go to the gym at 4/4:30am. Get back, shower and get my day started. I work 7-4. It’s great, and I always feel amazing. I have energy throughout the day, and once I clock out, I can relax and do chores or go grab dinner with friends, etc.

The issue is when it IS my week, I can’t get up that early to go to the gym, then it’s getting ready for daycare, work, pick up, and the dreadful 5-9 shift with dinner, bath, bed by 8:30 and recovery. I’m drained by the time it’s all said and done.

I’m not the type of person to exercise outside in the heat, plus i live in the south so it’s really only bearable to be outside early in the morning or when the sun is going down.

Lately, i’ve been finding it hard to get up to go to the gym when I’m kid free because I just want the luxury of sleeping in. Working out for 5 days and then taking basically a week off ruins my momentum.

Also, I am completely worthless after like 3pm. I am a morning bird, so trying to go to the gym after work is definitely a struggle..

Any tips from working moms with what works for them!

Bonus: I don’t have anyone around me who can take my kid so I can exercise, none of the gyms around me have daycare during the hours I would need help, and even so, the hours are during hours that I work.
