Ro + Uv + Mtds
We have been using UV + UF purifier for past couple for years. Recently, got interiors renovated in our home and due to modular kitchen planned for UTC (under the counter/sink) instead of wall mounted.
I checked tds which came out to be 320, so decided to go for RO this time instead of just uv & uf.
Bought Aquaguard aspire designo UTC RO + UV.
Now here is the issue :
When technician came to install, Normal tap water tds was 320 & RO water at 47-50. He suggested this tds is too low, so i should get tds controller installed. I okayed and got it installed and tds increased to 120.
Now, i got to know that TDS controllers should be used only if this untreated water goes through "UF filter" but in this model there is no UF filter which means its passing only through UV filter.
Now, I have two options :
Remove tds controller and continue with only RO + UV ( No UF as i mentioned) in which case i'll get purified water with tds around 50 but since it is advised to not drink water with tds levels below 100, i am not sure if its good in long run or not.
Carry on with tds controller. In this case, tds comes to 120 but since its not passing through UF filter, its literally drinking just uv treated water as RO treated water has been contaminated and now this water is ONLY UV treated.
Please advice what should be done.
