Are you on a career break or thinking of taking one and are exploring new ideas?

Hello everyone,

I've recently been exploring multiple ideas in the tech and food space. My challenge is: I have ideas, I critique them all by myself and move on - what we don't realize is that this is an endless loop.
I've always wanted to talk to people about these ideas, hear their opinions on them, talk about their interests, hopefully solve a problem for them, and explore avenues together over time.

Through my conversations on Reddit and other platforms, I've realized there are a lot of people out there with good ideas and no one to share them with - I haven't found a dedicated avenue to do this.

I'm not talking about startup meetups, VC hangouts - just ways to figure out what you want to do in life further, discuss if an idea is worth being a startup, etc. I might be wrong, so if a community like this already exists, please let me know which communities they are!

If not, I'd love to see if we can build a community of people who want to:

• Share raw ideas and validate thoughts

• Connect with others, whether you're on a career break or otherwise

• Speak about ideas worth sharing in a room full of people who share a similar growth mindset

Restaurant/cafe/Food-chain owners - what POS or management software do you actually use and does it help make your life easy?

NOT a Sale - I'm interested in entering this space and I've been researching about operating a restaurant and software you can use to run a place, and I truly appreciate honest answers based on your experience.

There seem to be so many restaurant management platforms out there (Petpooja, Menulaa, Loyverse, etc. and I'd love to know how you guys look at PoS and management software?

If you own or manage a restaurant, cafe, QSR, cloud kitchen, or bakery:

  • What software are you actually using day to day - POS, inventory, staff scheduling, reservations, whatever it is?
  • Does your tool help you solve most problems you'd like it to? Inventory Management including supplier coordination, Payroll (if you need this), Quality control, Billing and Invoicing (I know most tools help do this, but are there any issues you've faced that we should know about?), Feedback and Review Management, Content management on Instagram, etc.
  • Is there a task you still do on paper, Excel, or a WhatsApp group because no software handles it well?
  • Did the type of place you run (cafe vs. full-service vs. QSR vs. bakery vs. cloud kitchen) actually change which software made sense, or would you have picked the same thing either way?
